In Michigan in 1991 my good beer exposure was Bell’s, Pete’s Wicked Ale, and the West coast trio of Sierra Nevada, Anchor, and Anderson Valley along with a handful of exports.

I went to Colorado on a ski trip and got exposed to new craft beers. A Fat Tire bomber was probably the most memorable. I brought the bottle back home to add to my bottle collection.

A classic indeed - thanks for the memory!!!!

What!?! No mention of the shocking labels of Flying Dog beers?

I always thought the beer label artwork of Victory Hop Devil was cool:

And then there is the Coors label which intimates they brew the beer from an actual Rocky Mountain stream (I guess depictions of well water is not sexy?):

Sounds like we had very similar beer taste early on, minus Bell’s. Visited a friend going to CU who gave me my first fat tire. Then we spent a day getting free samples from the Coors brewery. The secret was just wait until the next tour guide came through. Anyways, cheers.

Sure, it is nice, but; to be "iconic", wouldn't the product have be, at least somewhat, widely known?

Before I posted I noticed there were a hell of a lot of "non-iconic" beer labels on this thread, Poo-bah. Did you comment on each of those, also?

My "but" upon seeing that image was "Geez, with the tap in that location, how the hell do they get the last quarter or so of the beer out of the keg?"

They get it when the guy is in the landing pattern. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ballast Point's artwork is insane, they sell a lot of it on their website (my mouse keyboard at work is the Sculpin Fish haha).

But underrated is this beauty from Bell's:

Can's may look even better, something about simple elegance that gets me every time.

Here are two mementos that lurk in my desk. The Fall's City Billy Beer and a bottle stopper of Mannequin Pis from the 1958 Brussels World Fair. @beertunes (just message me) is still welcome to have this old can, but I'm keeping the stopper.

Thanks for the offer, but I received 2 cans of Billy today, from @nc41. One of them was a little squishy, like it was a low fill, so that will go into the memento pile. But, the other, full, firm can? That's getting drank and reviewed.

Do a side by side. This can has been stored well and is in good shape. Send me an address and you'll get it quick.

I didn’t give them a squeeze test, but I thought one was a bit low. It’s why I baggied them, with their age I didn’t trust them under pressure. Glad one is suitable ( lol) , to drink.

We're being quite generous with the word "suitable" in this situation. We're gonna video it too.

I’m glad that even though SN has started phasing out the landscapes on some of their packaging (Summerfest, the last two O’fests, for example), they’ve retained the cabin for Celebration.

I’ve always liked the vintage labeling of Pilsner Urquell:
