Kane Brewing (2019)

Haven't had it yet this year. Was planning on trading for a fresh bottle. Always love to have one just after release.

Through the empty space is so damn good.

 

Don’t get me wrong, it’s very good. Saying it’s indistinguishable from morning bell isn’t exactly a negative as MB is great in itself. I just personally am not getting the usual donut shop flavor I have from SB in the past. This year’s is very coffee dominant. Could just be me though as it looks like a lot of people are getting heavy cinnamon also.

 

I'm glad to say I'm not surprised. I almost made the ~1.2 hour trip up there for this (opted for the 40 minute drive to Tired Hands...and Forest & Main).

Kane does non-adjunct beers so well, and that's not to say they don't do the pastry thing well...but I just love regular Port Omna so much. To me, it sounds like a US-craft version of Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout, which is cool. Hope they keep pumping out more "traditional" beers like this in the future (Bierhalle, Velvet Hand, etc).

Yes! Don't make the same mistake I did: buy more than a 4 pack. It's damn tasty.

I also had some Steeper Dive (bitter @ 2.5% abv) Man And Bear (stout @ 3.5% abv) off cask....delicious is an understatement.

 

@glennl Any word on Fall Saints reappearing this season?

 

Corduroy Lines cans available today, last released in Feb per their post. I remember wishing I had bought more cans last time and it was very good. might make a trip out today...

they ‘tosed this one according to the post. Has it always had lactose or is it a new addition?

Per the feb insta post they used tose last time too. But yea it was a tweak to the original...

 

Also a heads up they have anni sets to go too...$50 for 2 bottles.

 

And fyi those bottles are obscenely good

 

Anybody know how much DDH sneakbox there is? Might not make it till 5:30ish, and even though they’ve been great about having stuff last at least until Sunday lately, I’m scarred by the time Kane released two DDH beers a year or two ago that sold out in an hour.

 

Looked like a ton of ddh sneakbox in the fridge. Everybody seemed to be walking out with cases of courdoroy. Saturday night lights kicked when I was there but coconut antead was unreal.
