I'm sure there will be plenty of regular. Last year pretty much every Binny's saw distro of regular.

I think that was true a year or two ago, though (that they made a lot of Benthic). The issue was the variants.

And you're right about Half Acre fans, I honestly don't understand the fanbase (despite being a HA fan). Half Acre had a run for a while where basically every release of any beer was a guaranteed clusterfuck and day one sellout.

Shoot, I remember my Binny's keeping Double Daisy Cutter in the back, and only giving it to "regulars". That wasn't even that long ago, but funny to think about now.

Looks like a couple Orin variants are on tap, VSOP at Balmoral and port at Lincoln.

Anyone had either of these yet?

Double Barrel Benthic was probably the best BA beer I had last year. Curious to try the apple brandy single barrel treatment...

    I kinda hope I don't get a package so I don't spend 110 dollars on 8 beers....

When you say it out loud it makes me not want to buy any, either.

I was hoping for an option "D" with just a bundle of Apple Brandy Benthic. The Apple Brandy variant last year was incredible.

It was very good, but it was a double barrel, both bourbon and apple brandy. This one looks like it's just apple brandy barrels, so I'm not sold on it. Don't think it's the same beer.

At least it's not Toppling Goliath where you'd be getting 1 beer

    I kinda hope I don't get a package so I don't spend 110 dollars on 8 beers CANS...

I wouldn't drink that much in a calendar year and cans aren't aging vessels so...I'm out. Wish they would use bottles for big ass stouts still, even if they are 12oz ones.

I haven't heard this before, not doubting you but what is the basis for that statement?

Huh? Nothing wrong with aging in cans. Less light can penetrate. Less space taken up. I'm all for aging in cans. And no, you don't get metal absorbed by the beer, or anything else like that.

I just drank a VSOJ from a year ago and it tastes just as good as the first one I had, with no off-flavors.

I'm torn whether I should get a beer advent calendar from Bottles & Cans or a Benthic bundle.

I'm always curious what they put in those. It's B&C so I'm assuming it's pretty decent stuff.

You drinking beer or the Kool-Aid? Didn't Rev state previously their cans were only guaranteed for a year? Is there some new magic can I'm not aware of?

I believe the lining in the cans will break down, eventually. No one really knows how long until it happens so...drink up!

No. The integrity of the can is guaranteed for a year. Doesn't mean it will do any harm. It's just what Rev says to protect themselves.
