To me, it sounds like she was perfect.

I never talk about beer to my wife, but she still said that I’ve ruined beer for her.

OK, I will ‘touch it’ but maybe…

The joke I heard was when Bill Clinton was President:

Bill Clinton gets off the helicopter on the White House grounds. As he walks down the steps the Marine greeting him notices a small pig under his arms. The conversation went:

Marine (after saluting): That is a nice pig sir.

President Clinton: Thanks! I got it for Hillary.

    Marine: Good trade sir!

    Cheers!

P.S. Hopefully even in today’s politically charged environment we can still laugh at jokes like this!

My wife will virtually never open and drink an entire beer by herself. Yet, she has sampled probably 80% of the new beers I’ve tried over the past twenty eight years. She knows styles, glassware, ABV range for different styles, etc. She likes the heavy punching styles like DIPA, RIS, Quads and Barleywine, while she has very little interest in Sours or Saisons.

My wife is a mostly wino, preferably red Zins, but for beach week she takes on Radlers pretty readily, and she does like Lindemans, and Belgian Whites.

Celebrated my 31st anniversary with ny wife this past September. For most of that time she was a macro lager drinker, but then she took a liking to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - would drink nothing else for a couple years. Fast forward a few years and now she loves sours, BA stouts, the occasional barleywine. Lately its a rare weekend we dont go to one of the local breweries together. I'm the luckiest man in the world.

I have said that people who don’t like beer haven’t found the right one. My missus prefers the red wine but I have gotten her to drink some of the shandy’s and weissens. She will try any but only really drink the ones she likes. I have drank a lot of three quarter bottles of dark beers.

My wife likes sours and hefeweizens, but generally doesn't drink. Says she'd rather spend the calories on sweets.
She loathes hoppy beer. Pilsner Urquell - 'gross, too hoppy'

My wife had good taste before I met her. She prefers English styles in cask, but also enjoys a wide variety of other styles, when those aren’t available. Other than sours and macro lagers, she enjoys it all, though I’d say for most food pairings, she prefers good wine.

My wife is a wine drinker. During our honeymoon in Mexico she drank Pacifico and Dos Equis and will still drink them if available. She drank gueuze in Amsterdam and Brussels but it didn't catch on. I learned to try out different things and recently was surprised to learn that she loves Central Waters Satin Solitude.

Green is within "Put a padlock on the fridge" territory. Seriously great stuff. Stealing somebody's Green is as dangerous as being a communist in the 80's. Heh

I've been married 30+ years. I tried and tried and tried and tried to get my better half to give craft beer a chance.

Almost 6 years ago, she tasted my Einstok Porter... and ask me if she could finish it. OF COURSE YOU CAN HONEY!

She now enjoys all of my IPA beers, the beers I don't like, and everything in between. We are beer buddies. We watch TV together on Fri & Sat nights (our beer nights). We've gone to San Diego, lower Hudson Valley NY, Richmond VA, and Charlotte NC on beercations.

I wouldn't change the last 5+ years for anything.

I got my wife started on Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. Then onto other craft wheat beers, lagers and pilsners. She was really digging Octoberfests this year too. She’s even gotten some of her Miller/Coors drinking friends into craft. One of them texted me the other day asking for ‘good beer’ tips, advice on what to buy to take to a party.

My wife of 36 years does not and never will enjoy beer. I have never seen a need to change that.

Married almost 32 years, my wife was a wino. I slowly showed her the true way and for the past 10 years she has become a better person. Loves her Belgians, particularly the quads and loves going to breweries. Always looks at the ABV in beers she orders or buys and usually picks the one with the highest percentage!!
