Everytime I feel a bit of beer envy I remind myself that I can walk to my grocery store and pick up amazing ipa's like Axe Man, Furious, and just about anything from T.G. (when in rotation) pretty fresh.

It will be a sad day when I dont get revved up to try something new though...

    Cheers!

The landscape of available beer is continuously improving. We should consider ourselves fortunate. Todd is better than 98% of the sh*t I stand in line for. Think about that...

Wish I had an Axe Man to play along. This will have to do.

    At lest the snow stopped.

That is a f*cking classic, sir! Thinking about the first time I ever tried it makes me want to purchase a can and wash my hair with it. OK, two cans. One of them I will drink. Cheers!

An unusual color that doesn't immediately bring descriptive words to mind. I tilted the glass at different angles looking for lighter shades at the edges and found a deep, deep ruddy brown that is striking in it's consistency throughout. Thick khaki cap and good lacing.

Aromas of roasted malt with dark chocolate and cocoa powder with a molasses undertone.

Taste is remarkably rich. The flavors repeat the scent notes with a coffee hit on entry that I missed in the aroma. A molasses like sweetness that quickly dries out mid palate leaving richness at the end. An ambitious brew that flexes it's muscles without trying to show off. Everything is just so well matched and working together in harmony you want to admire it as much as drink it.

As Hunter said, Distro is improving most everywhere and whether we like one of the ~100 styles available be it a classic Belgian Triple or Strong pale Ale, a newer IPA or a classic one... or the super fresh Pale Ale Pseudo Sue I’ve had the chance to sip on over the last two days. Kudos to the brewers and generous BA and traders. Beer is not everything in life but it surely make it slightly better in the evening. Cheers to that.
