I spotted some Surly Furious and Todd The Axeman at Roger Wilco Pennsauken. I think Furious was around $13. I passed. And that’s not to say they’re not good beers but for the price point you could just go with Kane, Carton for the same price (among others) and have a better time.

Make sure to check the dates on your Surly cans. We got Surly in VA a while back, all old cans, like 6 months old. Hopefully you guys have better luck.

Picked up some Furious and Todd the Axe Man today at Exton. I used to trade for Furious years ago and love the beer, can't wait to try one.

Just checked my cans, Furious is dated 10/17/19. Fresh!

The good news first: I visited both of my local Retail Beer Distributors and they had Furious and Todd the Axeman in stock and I purchased a 4-pack of each.

Now the less than good news, the prices:
    • Furious: $13.53/$13.99
    • Todd the Axeman: $17.99/$18.01
My total price for the two 4-packs including sales tax is $33.54.

I have not tasted these beers yet and I have little doubt they are high quality beers but at these premium prices (over 25% higher than what was listed in post #15) this is likely a 'one and done' purchase for me.

    Cheers!

Consider yourself lucky. I wish I could have gotten those beers at such 'bargain' prices. Picked up 2 of each in an NYC shop back in October...for $3.99 and $4.99 per can respectively. Didn't hesitate to pay the prices then, but like you they would prevent me from buying those beers regularly. But since I don't buy anything regularly I'd probably splurge once or twice a year.

If I could have purchased these 4-packs at the prices @ClockworkOrange posted above of "Furious was $10.99 and todd the Axe was $14.49 per 4x16oz" I would have felt like I was well served. At the prices I paid I do not feel "lucky" as you phrased it.

    Cheers!

These prices don't seem bad for Pennsylvania. I would much rather pay $13.99 or even $18.01 for a 4-pack of some great Surly IPAs than $20+ for a 4-pack that some of the local PA brewers are getting.

Tanczo's had both on Wednesday. Wasn't sure of the price, passed on both because I loaded up on Von Trapp and Foreign Objects.
