Allow me to be stupid for a minute. Copy the URL directly into the thread? I used to click the media image, then paste the link there. Am I now just pasting it directly where I type these words? Please, and thank you. And also, LARRRGE.

Alewerks -- Coffeehouse. Rich, roasty malt blends into delicious, dark coffee and persists through the palate. A hint of chocolate, and a relatively sweet finish accompany a relatively soft, smooth body (I imagine some of this softness is coming from that nice velvety head.)

I missed the Great Beastie Debate of WBAYDN#2591 but one topic I saw that went undiscussed is their amazing ability to name albums. My favorite: Hot Sauce Committee Part 2

I've got the week off and am spending it with wine drinkers on Buzzards Bay. Would rather be in Port of Spain.

But how are they as actual rappers? Like if we were assigning a grade using an A through F scale? Seriously.

    I love you.

Some of you probably read some of the cack I write on here, and hence know that I LOVE Cloudwater. This beer, my 80th by them, is exactly why. It’s touted as a west coast IPA, so you get certain preconceptions going. You pour it, and it looks just right, beautiful as fuck in the glass. Then you smell and it’s exactly what you expect this brewery to be. First taste, and yeah. It’s clearly a west coast IPA but still very different. Fragrant, a bit spicy, fruity and citrusy with just the right bitterness and bite, but still soft and stupidly easy to drink. Masterclass.

To me The Beastie Boys are as high a B+ as you can get. They found success in their utterly unique sound (Their voices (The kind that are in your face) and samples/breaks) and image. They're far from master lyricists, lack in flow (IMO) but NOBODY out there sounds like they do. Best example on short notice would be the song Rhymin and Stealin: Let's take the drum break from When The Levee Breaks and the guitar riff from Sweet Leaf and slam em together. Throw their voices on top of all that and it's something magical. I imagine a large part of that comes from their origins as a Punk band.
Also, a huge part of what makes them great is that they're clearly always having fun on every song. No track sounds like it was written because it "needed to be."

This got a bit long-winded.... Sorry.

Enjoying some nice Iowa beers. All of them amazing.

    Firetrucker Burnout Brown
    Green Tree Mintery Knight Stout
    Iowa Brewing Surf Zombies
    Adventurous Coconut Pastry Sour

The last two were labeled incorrectly but after a sip I figured out the mistake and I move them around to where they should be.
