This came to town recently, and I had to get it. I was going to review this for NBS, but, one problem: The canning date is 6-11-19!

It may be a bit malty, but it's good. Hopefully I can get it fresh someday, and see the difference.

    Might have 1 more tonight.

Medium gold color overall, slightly cloudy; lively carbonation, some bubbles very fine, others rather coarse; thin yet sticky white head; thick sheets of foam cling to the glass. Sweet and spicy aroma; coriander and cloves. Big hefeweizen flavors; bananas and clove; candi sugar; subtle wheat-like malt base lurking in the background; slight bitterness. Heavy body; a bit coarse and with an appealing warmth; semi-dry character.

A very beautiful, high ABV wheat-based ale. It brings some fine Belgian wit bier and German hefeweizen qualities to the palate and does a fine job masking its ABV. The standout flavors are light cereal grains and spices. A very appealing and delicious ale.

One of the most inspiring sad songs...that little guitar ditty at the end is so amazingly hopeful sounds.

You're right about Jimi. I was going to say Stevie Ray's Voodoo Chile in Tokyo (1985?) is about as good as it gets, but SRV is copying, not inventing. And I'm Texan, so I have to stick up for him. :stuck_out_tongue:

Watching video of Jimi play that song at Woodstook always puts the question to bed for me. His fingers look like robot spiders programmed to infiltrate your mind, body and soul by shredding on a public saxophone.

SRV was the best guitarist I've ever seen in concert, would've love to have seen Jimi, at least we have him on film & vinyl
