Good day BAs! And good morning to all yinz just waking up from yesterday's turkey toxin torpor! Today's New Breakfast Beer is Fracking Black Camo from 5 Stones (In case my pic attempt fails):

Well, obviously that didn't work. Anyway, a damn good coffee stout - check the review for a bottle pic.

 

I have an old windows desktop that I use to post most of my BA pics. Between the desktop keyboard and screen size it is much easier to use than my iPad and definitely easier to use than the iPhone. I can take a pic with either the iPad or iPhone and have installed a conversion program that posts it to my windows photos. Imgur works well on all my devices.

So how is life my friend? Ready for the weekend?

 

Dark brownish color with orange highlights around the edges. Nice tan cap and lacing.

Aroma of dark malt, toffee and yeasty dark bread with something light and cheerful like cherries.

Taste is a complex, very sophisticated combination of good things. Caramelized sugar, lightly toasted homemade bread, Dark ripe figs, all with a spicy, fruity influence. Hops are minimal, just enough to balance, and carbonation is at just about the right pitch. Dark cherries return in the aftertaste basking in the afterglow.

having a rare breakfast beer today before I go out and get 1/2 price on socks and underwear...oh and hopefully I can fight my way into a couple bottles of BCBS...sounds like we may have only got a couple cases

Happy Black Friday, Advocates. I'm too tired even to contemplate shopping today, except maybe for beer because we're having guests over tonight and my fridge took a big hit yesterday. Our son returns to North Carolina tomorrow so he and I may stop by one of the local breweries later; we'll see. Cheers!
