A little early, but I’m doing shit around the house, my Spurs are on the Telly, I have to work later and I’ve always considered this style a good “brekkie” beer anyway, right?
Look is gorgeous. Believe it or not, very careful pour. This beer just cannot help itself. Beautiful copper red look and a nice egg shell head.
Smell is glorious. A nice combination of plum, fig, a little blackberry and clovey banana. I could smell this all day.
Taste is spot on with the smell. Pretty crisp and easy to drink which I’m gonna say is definitely a testiment to the freshness of the can. Great dry finish with a nice bitter backbone.
Overall. This is delightful. I haven’t had this in a while, (why not? Duh) and it is even better than I remember. Perfect for right now and I thank @FBarber for starting the Bock thread. I wouldnt have had this today if it wasn’t for you so...Prost! Copy and paste from the tasting thread, most certainly drinking now

I awoke just before sunrise, came down & brewed coffee & had a toaster waffle before re-evaluating my morning & going back to bed. I am to meet my maternal aunt & uncle as well as my maternal uncle later (1500 h.) to see "Parasite" at the local art house, after which we are going to supper & then my M-night trivia team is hosting a party at their place, so there may not be too many reviews today.

I was inspired by a meme to bring Turkey & mashed potatoes tonight - Wild Turkey Rye (a personal fave) & potato-based Vodka. It goes to show my ignorance - not ALL voddy is of potatoes! I kinda had to scour to find my bottle. Who knew?!? Not me.

I drank JD as a kid, didn't like it, got turned onto Tanqueray & Tonic in the early-going of my Navy career, fell into better beer & just kind of lost the string for many years until a 1993 deployment with the SeaBees (NMCB-5) to NavSta Roosevelt Roads, P.R. & hit upon dry (NOT sweet) rum. That worked for a while & then craft beer really got a foothold & I shied away from distilled liquor. What drew me back was the resurgence of Rye Whisky with its cool peppery mintiness. We had a beauty from Sagamore Spirit a few weeks ago & I CAN still taste its loveliness.

What am I drinking NOW, you ask.

Finally found this one for $11.99 a four pack. BCBS was sitting next to it for $12.99. BCBS last year was $10.99. I grabbed two 4 packs. Absolutely delicious and just a tick below BCBS.

My mother, aunt, an uncle, and grandfather are all Michigan alum. My mom will be screaming at the TV really soon. Go Blue!

Good afternoon advocates. Starting off with a cafe de olla. It's like drinking a cinnamon churro that's been dipped in chocolate bourbon sauce. Love it cheers

The twenty-second, dare I say zweiundzwanzigste, can from the Costco/Kalea 2019 Advent Calendar. Blue skies on a gorgeous, crisp Fall day in metro NYC. Watching my Wolverines (GO BLUE!!) face their historic rival, OSU.

    Did I say GO BLUE!!?

Good to be back home after an arduous drive yesterday. The rare snowfall in California made for some really fun driving. It took us over two hours to drive the first 40 miles. The dogs are happy we're home. They had a new dogsitter this time and she said things went well.
I'm starting off slow and easy this morning, with Cantrip Kolsch. It is excellent! Another gift from @2beerdogs. Thank you Derek!

Figured this is just as good a day as any to revel in the glory of this 2017 Bourbon county reserve sent to me by the extremely generous @FFFjunkie and the glassware as well. This thing is excellent Dan, thanks again!

Went to the bottle shop yesterday and picked up, surprise, Weldwerks Mexican Achromatic. Yall didnt really think I'd be posting BCBS did you? Great beer, better value per oz, and been on my list for a while now. Some great use of cinnamon, chocolate, and I feel like there is some Chile in the middle. Glad I got a few.

And how the hell do I post music now? YouTube? Sheesh.

    Never mind... lol
