If you've done anything dumb lately and want to feel better by hearing someone else do something dumber, here it is.

I ordered Option B for the Benthic release...and just realized this morning that I forgot to pick it up. I was out of town from the 22nd to the 30th, and then completely forgot about it yesterday. Oof.

 

Might be worth an email to see if you could still get it.

 

Yeah, I've already sent a FB message and a message via their website. But, not getting my hopes up.

 

Right from their release information.

"Any bundles that haven’t been picked up by that date will be forfeited and auctioned off for charity. There are no exceptions and no refunds."

I'm assuming you're SOL croush, unfortunately.

Haha. Sorry, bud. I feel for you. I definitely do. That blows to lose out on the beer, and burn $80+ for nothing.

 

Doesn't hurt to ask if they still have it. Could just be an empty threat so they don't store it for months. My guess is HA understands life gets in the way and can hook you up. At the very least maybe they get you a 2 pack....

^It was bad when people were looping for double allocations for themselves, it was worse when they were muling for triple allocations for flipping, this has set a new low- hoarding beer just so others can't have it! Call HA. You paid for it, they are a classy brewery. Maybe at the least they'll let you re-purchase it with the proceeds going to charity.

 

Also, if they are donating your money, tell them you want a gift receipt for tax purposes, if they aren't willing to provide it have your CC company cancel the order.

 

I wasn't saying don't even try to get it. Of course he should. Just making the point that the odds are low in him getting it when they put that "disclaimer" right in their release information. It sucks. I feel for him.

 

Needed another ethical beer debate since we're almost done with the Black Friday looper discussion.

What are the chances that Benthic, or any of the variants, will be on tap at the Balmoral location this Saturday? I'll be stopping through on my way to Michigan for the Transient party, and was hoping to try them, since I had to pass on cans this year.

Also, does anyone know when Dungeons is making a return? Shockingly my wife asked about this one, by name, so I know she means business.

 

Hard to say, they seem to rotate but Benthic was on tap when I stopped into Balmoral on Sunday.

Yeah, I had already contacted them and corresponded yesterday about it, so I was planning on grabbing mine tonight. I figure I should also make a donation regardless to The Night Ministry, especially since it's Giving Tuesday. Seems like a win-win.

 

You are SOL. I tried to pick-up the allocation today, but they don't have a "Croush" on record as having purchased Benthic....

 

A lot of names not crossed off when I picked up 5 min ago. Looks like Thanksgiving week prevented more than just a few knuckleheads from pickup
