- some kegs and miscellaneous parts to complete my anti-O2 setup. Looking to harvest CO2 from fermentation as well. - stir plate & flask (now that gluten free liquid yeast is available) - pH meter? What do you want to find under the tree this year?
10 sacks of marris otter 9 packs of notty 8 packs of 05 7 feet of new hose 6 new fermenters 5 new air locks 4 5 pounds of L40 3 5 lbs of black patent 2 5 lbs of Munich And a sack of Simpsons roasted barley
A bottle of Pliny the Elder, which I've never tried and would like to try to homebrew a version of (my way of avoiding the term "clone") :-)
I picked up a floating dip tube last week. I hope to try it out sometime in December on a keg-hopped IPA. For Christmas, I'd like a clear IPA (you read that correctly) that doesn't clog the beer line.
Came to this thread to say the exact thing that my northern VT associate said...time...time to brew and time to finally convert my HLT to electric with PID controller. Have the pieces...just need the time.
Revising and extending my remarks. My time is pretty much divvied between two residences; a rental in one state and my permanent in another. Most of the time is spent at the rental during the week for work (plenty of time to brew) then I make the 6- to 7-hour commute home for the weekends. Controlled fermentation in my absence is the challenge. So, I guess my wish list would include something that would reliably heat/cool the fermentation in my absence, without bending the bank too much.
Looking to finish my kegerator build and it's coming at a great time to crowdsource components. Hoping to get 4 Perlicks and SS shanks and the 4 way secondary CO2 regulator needed to control carbonation for each keg.
I asked for the Anvil Foundry 6.5 gallon kettle/mash tun. Wife sent me a email that it’s being shipped. YESSS!!!! Finally get to try a all grain recipe. Also asked for a big mouth bubbler. Hopefully that comes too. I hate trying to pry off the lid on my bucket fermentor.
Sounds like this may be a moot point soon, but I recall tools like the one below making that less painful.
I picked up a big mouth bubbler, its flimsy garbage. Do yourself a favor and get the Speidel instead. It has a huge opening and is made of sterner stuff than the BMB. As for Christmas wishes... a brew day. I haven't touched my gear in 2019.
I want one of these bottles but it's a little over priced. https://oakbottle.com/shop/the-oak-...O7_SMZKqkOhf_Gx_Vxlvd-lz2QYSqlYRoCihMQAvD_BwE
Time to start brewing again now that we've moved. And a prostate that lets me drink more than a couple of beers at a time.
