Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2019)

Damn, between Unofficial Beer Sponsor, Drive Thru Meatballs, Your Brain on Brunch, Galaxy Unicorn, and the various lagers, PW has got me re-evaluating my beer budget. Now that we're post-Black Friday, there's a good chance I'll be buying nothing but PW for the next month. For my palate, they are just firing on all cylinders. My one wish: a re-release of Twin Pines Mall. C'mon @NOTpipeworks, let's make this happen!

Pipeworks has been going a really interesting route with these stouts lately. Preferred the past Dog releases of Hyper, Blackberry and Coconut.

 

Would have preferred they brought back Santa v Unicorn than another adjunct stout

 

I don't know, I'm kind of excited for this release.

 

I thought Your Brain on Brunch was great, although I had trouble drinking the whole can, but 8-10oz was very good.

i haven't had a standout PW ipa in a long time.

and at their price points, it's an easy pass.

 

$11.99 for Ninja V. Unicorn...is it the pricepoint or the standout-ness?

 

Fresh NvU is always in my fridge, and is definitely a contender for "best IPA in here" on a constant basis. It's also around $12 for a four pack almost everywhere you can find it.

Their hazies (Unofficial Beer Sponsor, Absolute Motion, Speed of Sound, Equal Magnitudes, Velocity of Light, etc) have all been priced around market average of $16.99 as well.

Their price point is pretty fair, and in some cases, exceptional (NvU, Lizard King).

 

It's a shame that Bottle Logic collaborated with Pipeworks, Phase Three and Hop Butcher...and NONE of them was a stout?

 

I thought there was a stout in there with somebody, but maybe I'm wrong. Just figured it would a little more time (or a lot more time if going into barrels).

 

I'm still sore from when Bottle Logic and Cigar City got together years ago and produced a belgian dubbel. Seriously.

 

Hop Butcher Test Your Might was a BL collab stout, and a damn great one at that!

I think you're referring to the CCB and Alesmith collab, Dubbel Dare.

 

You are correct. The CCB-BL collab was that terrible stout with eggfruit.
