Holy CRAP! That hasn't been sold up here in the Seattle area since the early 90s! The guitarist of this band use to buy me 12 packs of that when I was a kid right out of high school.

Sad to see this series end, but what an ending. Glad I got my hands on a few of these bombers.

I've now had eleven of the fifteen offerings, and not one of them has disappointed. A few were even exceptional... as is this one.

Another of my carport horde:

 

It was one hell of a week so something big, on the hoppier end, and either a new beer or something that I haven't had in a while was a requirement...I landed on Bear Republic Racer 5 and it is really hitting the spot. I have not had this beer in quite some time but I have fond memories of it, one of the first hazy-ish IPAs I probably had now that I think about it (Two Hearted would be the other) and I really enjoyed the softer mouthfeel and one of the first IPAs I really enjoyed because it was hoppy but not overly bitter and harsh. This beer also confused me back then with the whole East Coast vs West Coast IPA thing, as I found this to be smoother and less in your face than say a Victory Hop Devil or a Fat Head's Headhunter.

Good stuff, need to revisit some of these classics more often.

So this is a Mexican lager / IPA mixture -- not sure it fully works, but I'll go with it Cheers BAs

In East Texas for work, eating a pile of Mexican food, this is the perfect Mexican food beer, IMHO.
