SAVAGES (v2) Hints/Hauls

Two LIF boxes went out today. One for my birthday trip last month and the other to replace my secret LIF box that was lost somewhere near Detroit. Should arrive Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Shit, phone was running soooo slow I did all kinds a things trying to fix it including clearing all my passwords a while back. Notifications for this thread somehow went away after I logged back in and I figured things had settled down with this group. Now I’m like 20 pages behind!

I have no recollection of this & only know because UPS told me.

So, clearly, if there is any retribution needed for this, it should go somewhere else.

We got a mystery beer (chilling as I type)
Some spoils from NC: burial, Wilmington brewing, 10W-40 (always down for one of these), and another s’mores beer to add to the definitive power rankings! And that mighty triumphant bastard is a Belgian dubbel with cherries from Liquid State and I’m already licking my chops for that one. Brian this box is much appreciated, as was the personalized note that accompanied it, thanks so much!

Steelbound blue balls blueberry wheat
Buried Acorn pucker powder dry hopped sour, sticky lips American barleywine

I think these are the last of the shenanigans. Like I said in my note, there’s a box for you in Detroit from early October that may yet make it as well, though I’m not holding my breath on that one.

 

Nice @bstoos I can say that minky boodle is surprisingly good

 

Look is a cloudy pale yellow with billowing stark white head. Aroma is...... pickles? Breaded pickles? Fried pickles? Really, no. My nose must be deceiving me. I’m gonna go sniff some coffee grounds and come back. Nope I think there is a distinct pickle smell. And taste. Sweet pickles on the taste. No sour, no acidic, no puckering. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, clean. My guess is pickled lager? If there is such a thing. Be back soon with the review.
