    The beer is good but nothing to be mad about missing out on imo. A better version of Party Wave and a slightly worse version of Gravitational Waves.

    It really is. You see places like Other Half and trillium collab often (not singling them out). They both make great ipas. You're not going to combine forces and reinvent the wheel all of a sudden but the fomo/trade value is real.

    I think you guys are right @Norexyet ans @Mrstiffington its just novelty and fomo I guess. It’s always fun and interesting to watch how releases unfold these days. Wonder if the gambling sites will cash in, sell out times, over/under haha

    Yea, I thought the EQ/Kane collab was mediocre at best, glad I had a taster and not a 4pk.

    However, the EQ/Carton collab was very enjoyable and I wish I had much more than a 4pk of it.

    I'd agree with pretty much everything that everyone said here. Collabs generally aren't great, I did however really enjoy the 2nd collab with Troon, The Sea Stares Back Again. Thought it was super tasty and it was first experience with sabro.

    It probably didn't help either that I think Conclave is generally well regarded but they don't get a ton of cans out, have fairly limited hours, and they are also decently far away for a lot of people in the state. Hence probably a bit of pent up demand for their beer.

    I can speak for myself that I am pretty unlikely to drive 30+ minutes to just to get a growler fill if there isn't the options of grabbing cans or bottles that have more shelf life and can be broken up across multiple sittings rather than needing to drink a growler very quickly. Looking forward to when Conclave opens the new space and hopefully have higher output with more frequent cans and longer opening hours.

    Anyone have any bum cans of the collab? Had 2 the other night and they were fine but just took one out and it was really soft. Gave it a little squeeze and it's bubbling right from where the top seals. The other can feels the same but don't see a leak.

    Funny you say that. Had an issue with can of party wave. It was half full. Squeezed and heard air from top seal.

    I figure it's just a random occurrence but wanted to see if others noticed anything. Opened the other can and it was completely flat. Talked to my cousin that got a 4pk and he said his all seem fine.

    I would reach out to Kane. They have excellent customer service and will do what they can to make it right.

    I've seen their responses previously and appreciate their efforts but I feel ridiculous complaining about a single bad can. Yes, I paid them $4 or $5 and did not get what was promised, but it is not the end of the world. I already was the beneficiary of their mexican brunch recall a few years ago and got three extra bottles when my first set was fine, and even if I had not gotten those bottles I still wouldn't complain about one can.

    Also, this circumstance reminds me of the scheme in the beginning of "Strange Brew."

    "Hey, we found a dead mouse in our beer, eh? That means you owe us a free case."

    I shot them an email with a picture of the can. Not looking for anything in return either but if they want the can to check out i don't mind dropping it off. Just looks like it wasn't seated properly before being sealed. With thousands of cans going through it's bound to happen.

    All the cans of the collab I've opened so far have all been not great. Beer is dark, has a lot of particulate sandy looking gunk, and tastes slightly oxidized.

    Tomorrow (Saturday 12/14) during our tour and tasting room hours from 12pm – 7pm, we will be releasing Object Permanence, our barrel-aged barleywine, for the first time since 2017. Object Permanence began as a rich English-influenced barleywine brewed with floor malted pearl barley from the United Kingdom. This base malt is supported by dark Munich, honey and three levels of crystal malts for rich caramel, burnt sugar and dark fruit flavors. We racked this barleywine into three different types of barrels and aged it for 17 months. We will be releasing three variants in 500ml bottles.⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
    * Bourbon Barrel-Aged Object Permanence, 13.3%⁣ ⁣
    * Cognac Barrel-Aged Object Permanence, 13.0%⁣ ⁣
    * Rye Barrel-Aged Object Permanence, 13.2%⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
    Each variant is $15 a bottle | 6 bottle limit on each variant. Object Permanence Cognac glasses will be available for $10.

    Good to see Object Permanence back. I remember that being the standout of a new year’s eve bottle share I did 2 years ago. May have to pick some up for this year’s share.

    Hopefully there will be some bottles leftover since there is no lactose or marshmallows or graham crackers or cacao or maple syrup or cinnamon or vanilla or peanut butter or chili peppers or coffee involved in the beer.

    But then again people shit their pants over barrel aged beers. It’ll probably fly, won’t it?

    Tricky one. Barrel aged, yes. Barleywines, no. But right in my wheelhouse. Wasn’t planning on going but now I might!

    I bet they last hopefully a couple weeks for my sake. Unless they release something else crazy before then. But even if they do that crazy (read: pastry, bourbon stout, or stout) would probably sell out first with people only snagging a bottle or two of OP. It’s funny we all try and figure out how long things will last and in the ends it’s just a crap shoot. We’ll see...

    Strata single hop ipa and third reef. They’re really working overtime trying to take our Christmas shopping money.
