    Union labor; I presume?

(Before it starts....JK. Too hard to resist. Of course they'd be working that hard if they were union. It's just cliche' that they would not be.)

That's what's wrong with American labor... We're forced to wear shirts while we work which limits our production.

In that case I will, of course, be MORE than willing to supply the local crossfit gym with some, err... equipment. For a nominal fee, of course.

I can almost guarantee these guys are also allowed to drink beer on the job. Another advantage....

    Yea, they're empties being returned.

They are sorting empties before being returned to the brewery to be washed and refilled. It shows the inefficiency that has been introduced into the system by brewery marketing idiots' insistence on having custom crates and, even worse, custom bottles. If all the breweries used the same crates and bottles, as they did a generation ago, there would be no need for any of this unnecessary labour, and less energy would be wasted returning custom crates to the brewery of origin.

The reason that the nice plastic crate that you see in Germany is worth more in deposit than the bottles.

German brands, German crates, the guard rail in the parking lot looks like the ones in Germany, the green mesh fence looks like in Germany. They are sorting empty returnables. You don't think those come from the breweries all mixed up like that?
