The Alchemist (2019)

i purchased a 4pk of Rapture at the brewery on 11/8. Had one that week and thought it was super bitter and had a weird metallic taste. Couldn't finish the can. A friend told me he didn't love it out of the gate, but it got better after a week or two. I had another can 2 weeks later and still the same thing. Had the final can this past weekend and unfortunately it was still the same. Bad cans? Or is this just the way Rapture tastes?

 

Rapture was my favorite "new" brew of the recent past. I had some from around that time from the brewery and thought they were as great as the earlier batches that I had from last summer.

 

i had pretty high expectations for a galaxy/citra combo from the alchemist. I'll grab more cans next time the opportunity arises. not ready to write Rapture off just yet.

 

I picked up a four pack of Rapture on November 16th, and had my last one yesterday while watching the Pats. It didn’t taste metallic to me at all, in fact kinda reminded me of a subdued focal banger. Nice beer that I would buy again for sure.

 

Picked up rapture at the brewery last week. I agree with the super bitter and weird metallic notes. It was brutal. I'll be gifting out the rest.

 

Like a true friend

 

I got a can of Focal from my friend that went up last week.. opened it up a couple of days later and noticed a metallic finish and drain poured it. Pretty disappointing as it was the first time I ever had a bad experience with their cans.. granted, prior to this I haven't had Alchemist since early summer.
