Enjoying my last Nelson. Kinda sad that I have to fly to Boston to buy a beer from California in order to enjoy it in Florida. The quest for excellent beer knows no bounds.....

Just had my cousin bring me a few 4-packs back from Boston, and since I’m trying to keep my consumption low I’m gonna be done after this one. Wow, Citra really shines here. A ton of creamy citrus, with a delightful hit of apricot and malt on the finish. Awesome. Night, all.

Today was another non-productive at work, but that was due to two factors, crappy tech support ( never called me back, despite me calling twice ) & no access to the equipment. Tomorrow looks more fruitful, so I'm just gonna stay on day shift the rest of the week... Lost Forty S'Morest Queen Smores Stout. This is my second can & will say the Mother's Imperial Porter with smores theme beats the brakes off of this. More smores flavor & more ABV

Dark brown body; very thick and creamy head; dense curtains of foam line the glass. Heavy roasted grain aroma infused with notes of dates and figs; mild booziness. Rich, creamy flavors; heavy notes of roasted and chocolate malt; bourbon; vanilla; dried figs. Heavy body; dense and creamy mouthfeel with a smooth edge of whiskey heat; immense presence of residual sugars.

This is an incredible beer, well-balanced and dense with complexity and character. All the points made by the brewer as to the beer's ingredients and composition are present and readily approachable (very nice very such a big malt and ABV beer). A truly awesome beer experience.

...an end-of-work-day beer that goes well with having my breakfast paid for (unknown to me) by a shooting buddy who I'm teaching to handload and the boss giving me two tickets to a local concert event for tomorrow night (so looks like date night for Mrs. Goot)...

Geez, I totally agree. I saw part of a show that focused on all the great band members that are 70+ and how it was inevitable that we would see 15-20 of them pass in the next 10-15 years. It was really quite depressing....
