That's a tough wax job to duplicate.

 

Plus I'm pretty sure the bartenders keep the wax/cap on top of the fact that they pour a couple of ounces into a glass for you.

 

Someone I know corked their OWK and took it back to Chicago to share with friends. It's a still stout anyway, and if you're drinking it 5/6 hours after it was initially opened it'll still be just as good if you kept it in a cooler. Legality aside, that's a positive example of this at least.

 

Right, and SP seems to have moved to day-of announcements for bigger stouts which mitigates early arrivals, but even perennial to-go releases don't seem to have early lines because it's actively discouraged. Meanwhile, forager has slowly moved to a VIP Dinner model where you get dinner at 6:30pm on Friday and immediately line up for the Saturday morning release... (that being said, for millerzzzzz you could've shown up at open and lined twice at least).

 

Pretty awesome to walk into the cellar and get a bottle of Pulling Nails 8 (which is my favorite sour ever) and D12 on-site.

 

Apparently there's a bunch of peeps in Hawaii who scored Invitational tickets and have zero intention of going. I'll never understand why people do this.

I'm not entirely sure. A good friend in Honolulu text me and asked if I was going, I told him I got a ticket. He asked me again if I was going and I said yeah, I got a ticket. Turns out that several of his friends/acquaintances scored tickets as well but have no intention on traveling for it. Seems this is a common occurrence with certain people or groups.

let’s keep this BS on the DL before these bozos ruin online sales for events like this. i, along with many others here, wouldn’t be able to make IP sales unless by some stroke of pure luck.

 

I also wouldn't spend $150 on a ticket if I wasn't 99% sure I could go. The only thing stopping me now would be the weather. I'd eat the ticket versus a 10 hour drive going 30 mph.
