I’m fine with not holding any for Saturday. I hope they just don’t allow people to buy 6 4 packs of each beer. They don’t need mulers to sell all their beer this weekend so they would hopefully do their best to get everyone some beer

 

Why do you care?

 

Because like lots of other people it isn't possible for me to get there at 7PM on Thursday to get in line for 16 hours. Common sense would dictate that they would lower their limits to get all the people coming into town for their festival an opportunity to buy their beer. It's understandable why they have the limits they do normally, because it guarantees they move all their beer immediately. That isn't necessary when there are going to be thousands of people there on Saturday.

 

That's fair. Not having been to a 450 release, I can't speak authoritatively, but I imagine they're doing it this way because of the logistics involved. I don't know how they're handling stuff, but having been on the brewery side of a few of them, it wouldn't shock me if it came down to staffing.

 

As I expected it looks like they aren't interested in holding any for people coming to the festival. Sucks but I guess I can't blame them. Mulers are their life blood and they have to keep them happy.

 

Who's out there already camping out!? How's the weather looking as well!?

 

As hyped as 450 is, it's kind of ironic how inactive this thread is.

 

my take is a lot of the hype is driven by shitlordz who are not even remotely close to being beer advocates or enthusiasts.

 

It is cold. The number of ISOs has plummeted it seems just from my cursory take of perusing the forums here and there.

I think that is part of it.

More, just that I don’ think anyone drinks much from them other than this.

 

I think you'll find the most enthusiastic "fans" of 450 in the trading forums.

 

The ISO dropped off because literally nobody trades them here. Anyone that gets them here seem to drink them. The rest go to facebook and sell for 10 a can.

I've posted offers to trade one release for another and I don't even get a response with counter offers. It just seems like BA users don't really care for this stuff as much, which is fine, because it's honestly overrated. A very fun beer to have a couple times but in no way something you should seek to get every offering of.

 

Probably because people are catching on to there being no actual alcohol in the Slushy's.

Doesn't shock me at all. I've never felt even buzzed after drinking 1 or 2 of these.

 

Honest (perhaps naive) question: is it illegal to misrepresent the alcohol content of a beer?
