    16 oz. can packaged 12/03/19.
    Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy light golden body with lacing. Nose of citrus (orange, bergamot), tropical fruit, and a bit of floral/herbal aromas as well. Taste mirrors nose fairly close with a tiny bit of pine resin near the finish of grapefruit pith. Nice feel and overall, a solidly enjoyable IPA from Colchester, VT.

    Yes. They are pretty good. Even very good according to the BA community and rating.

    Glad to read that you have 3 Monts distribution in the Netherlands, too and since it’s close enough to Northern France where it’s brewed, I have no doubts you get them fresh too. Probably cheap enough too.

    I liked the Tripel, definitely. Just as good as the regular Bière de garde 3 Monts.

    Happy Monday, BA. Up in CT for a few days. Drove to Tree House with the BIL, but no pours , sadly. At a new joint. Elicit Brewing in Manchester, CT.
    Had their winter warmer to start. A little too dark and roasty to style for me, but a tasty beer

    Cold weather calls for warming cold beer. When I first took a whiff, the aroma was really off-putting. It smelled of booze and acrid coffee - like spent coffee grinds sitting out for hours.

    Luckily, the taste was much better. The bourbon character says "Hello!", but doesn't dominate. The Sumatra coffee thankfully tastes much more delicious than the aroma led me to believe, and helps to balance the palate, keeping the booze in check. Overall, enjoyable!
