The day after tomorrow. The day after Christmas, more precisely. I’m pretty much done eating and will have to watch out for a diet after the Holidays season. I’ve been pretty spoiled this year. I returned the favor too, and for the boring weather report it’s about 50F in the afternoon this week. Unusually mild...

    Cheers!

For those who may be tired of these Christmas songs ad nauseam, some old school Limp Bizkit:

Started with two smaller glasses of Ellis Island Casino/Brewery's Holiday Nog (this shit is DELICIOUS), then went back to brews with a Boulder Shake Porter and a Dry Dock Vanilla Porter. Merry Christmas LNBAers

Have a good Boxing Day. I’ve been playing the new Call Of Duty Modern Warfare all night. Got a friend on PS4 and we are cross platform playing ground war. Need to level up to get some decent weapons, I am sucking right now. Camping snipers mostly.

Big Lake Z's Pet Polar Bear. Incredible NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, cherry, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. No hop astringency. Smooth/soft, minimal warming 8%. Awesome Citra, Mosaic, Idaho Gem, El Dorado profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Really impressive, one of their best NEIPAs yet. 4.16

Going to play more Stardew Valley now.

Austin Brothers Murk Honcho. Fantastic NEIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick soapy lacing. Opaquely hazy green color. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts, and some sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.2%. Fantastic Vic Secret, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Citra profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Another easy winner as expected. Need to find Murky Christmas.

[IMG] Poured into a 13 oz stemless tulip canned on 10/25/19. Pours a dark brown a 2 finger head that leaves some thick streaks of lace as it slowly settles into a thin film of bubbles. 4.25

Smell is faint dry coffee, vanilla, cocoa nibs, and some toffee. 3.75

Taste follows, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and toffee. 3.75

Mouthfeel is about medium, a tad dry, soft carbonation, and at 5.9% drinks like it. 3.75

Overall not bad, but no wow factor for me, but pretty darn solid and at 5.9% you can have a few of them. 3.75
