Sorry. Mea culpa. That part of it has been entirely unintentional and I regret it.

It's just that I have a complicated relationship towards this site. Half the time I think it's great fun. And, forgive the pun, the other half I want absolutely nothing to do with it. That's also sorta how I feel about beer, quite frankly.

Can confirm I'm not @Gerry129, though. Didn't even know about this place in 2013, and there's no way I'd let those mangled sentences get past my internal editor. (No offense, Gerry:slight_smile:)

Ha! Not an alternate account, I just rarely posted before a few weeks ago. I liked the quest for 189 so thought I would finally add to the forum.

Yeah, they make me cringe too...I just typically go on here while doing something else too so it never has my complete attention.

I’d like to see one of their original west coast IPAs - Nice Life - may a comeback. Also IAL Red Wine, non-DDH DMD and any of the single hops.

    The anticipation is killing me.

The original version of Greenbacks was awesome, i suspect as beers have evolved I wouldn’t love it like back then, but that beer was awesome in 2015.

I totally remember loving Greenbacks way back when. Also remember the first time they had OG DMD on tap and even the bartenders were like ‘whoa’.

it would be cool to go back to some of those original recipes to see how it all holds up, but I imagine that won’t happen save for an anniversary type release.

I suspect they wouldn’t hold up, but that is OK. I also remember some of the original single hop Mosaic releases were game changers.

Still no Saturday announcement. First the phantom #stayedtuned this week and now this. Did their canning line break or something?

Any chance they skip Saturday and just do a mega release for NYE?

Cheers, Gerry. My participation here would surely benefit from similar disinterest.

As for Saturday, I personally hope they announce and release nothing because they've all been too busy spending time with family and friends. I doubt that'll happen, but they all bust their asses too much as it is. They deserve the break.

So Cream on the outside... was pretty much a standard high ABV lactose other half beer, which is to say great, but I'm glad I split the 64oz otherwise, definitely would've been way too much based on taste alone. Green diamonds however was the most enjoyable beer I had all day/night. While I'll take SD or ACE over it, the fact that it called back, at least a little, to NEIPAs that still had some bitter dank notes, really made it a nice change of pace, especially vs the 'tose. I hope they make it again, it's preferable to me over AGE, if only because hangovers are getting more easy to have and becoming more intense, and I think I need to start avoiding TIPAs if I want to really indulge.
