After half of the stores in my area not getting any Winter pack this year (I have no idea why), I walked into one I hadn't visited for a while and saw the Spring pack on the shelf. Today, December 26th. It's not even on their website yet, but it's Boston Lager, '76, Cold Snap, and some berry beer that I've already forgotten. Seriously guys, WTF? Easiest pass ever for me. After the joke that was the Fall pack (the only reason I bought it was because I wanted to know what Kosmic Sour was, and I was utterly unimpressed when I drank it), are they even trying to be interesting anymore?

A spring mix-pack on a retailer’s shelf 5 days after the beginning of winter. This season creep crap just sucks!

Agreed it's way too early.... I'm still seeing fall packs on shelves in places (which should have been pulled by now)... personally, I wish they would do away with the seasonal packs if they cant make a more solid effort... they have become uninspired and it just feels sort of lazy.... I know I'm bitching but it's the day after Christmas and im pissed about having to go back to work...

I think the thing about these seasonal releases is that I'm finding it near impossible to find the beer in the season I want to drink it. Sam's Winter is long gone at the distributors by me. Good luck finding the better pumpkin beers come mid October. I refuse to buy them early for the sake of holding onto them for 2 months. These are all missed opportunities for my dollars.

Lol, yep. Peeking thru those great single buy beers at total wine and some are dated into July. Sure let me pay $4 a piece for a 6 month old beer.

I dont think so bro and I kinda feel that same way about them. I miss the good old days when they did bombers like third voyage, Tasmanian red, and that ginger bread stout to name a few.

Are you sure it's 2020 and not the distributor dumping a leftover from spring 2019?

AFAIK the 2020 Spring Variety pack has not been announced yet, but I already know it's gonna suck because BBC doesn't even give a shit anymore

    No idea.
The image in @mikeinportc link is named Sam_Spring_Variety_2020 and the description matches what you saw. It's odd that it would be in retail before being announced on their site.

I seem to remember that one of the last ones, either Fall or Winter, showed up on shelves before appearing on their site. Probably Fall since Winter for some reason arrived late or not at all in my area. (It wasn't because Fall hung around too long like last year, Fall sold out pretty quickly this time.)

I really enjoyed both Alpine Spring and Noble Pils from several years ago. I remember buying a 12 pack of the Alpine Spring and thinking they should make this permanent as well as the Noble Pils.

Man you nailed that. Best two beers they have ever made except maybe their early days doppelbocks. Noble Pils and Alpine Spring....Just must not have sold eh? Too bad. I'd drink them a lot if around...

I was just thinking about Noble Pils the other day. That would be sweet if it made a comeback.

Sam Adams Spring Variety should be:

    Boston Lager
    Alpine Spring
    Noble Pils
    Blackberry Witbier

DrewsBrews450, SABERG and GOBLIN like this.

I gave up on their packs, they have become pretty boring and lackluster.

Looks like Saranac is also all in on seasonal creep. Their 2020 Spring pack is already in stores too.
