Have a good Friday. I have been playing CS:GO for 5 hours tonight, now back on to Skyrim this morning. Playing games every day is the happiest I’ve felt in years. Keeps your mind off everything else. Still pretty good at CS too, got top 3 almost every match for Terrorists. Assault rifles all day, I still hate AWP campers.

Dugges Sunshine Orchard. Excellent NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish.
Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. No hop astringency. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Nicely soft and not overly aggressive. Feels like Citra, Columbus, and Simcoe. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hops; with a nice sized oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Impressive as expected of the brewery. 4

Morning! Another drizzly day, so I probably won't get to painting. Music day, maybe? Beer day: definitely!

    Good morning BA
Home from work and celebrating the 3rd day of Christmas. My French hen glass has a pretty significant crack in it so I'm subbing in a #proper glass...

I just entered the first review in three years on this seasonal. LOTS of spice addition here. A bit too much for me. Cheers all!

Just slayed my first dragon, now I need to go find the Graybeards. This is so addicting

Urban South Who Dat. Excellent blonde ale. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, gooseberry, red apple, white grape/wine, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; balanced bread/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, not overly fruity/yeasty. Very refreshing, flavorful and not watery for 5%. Great Citra, Hallertau Blanc showcase. Very vibrant, and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops; with a great clean pale malt backbone, and restrained fruity yeast. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Impressive style example, no complaints. 4

I know, right? Must have been that way when I bought them. I'm only out $18 for the set anyway. It's been worth the price for holiday enhancement.
On an unrelated note, I just added a half ounce of Basil Hayden Caribbean rye to what's left of this spicefest. In a rare cases of two wrongs making a right, I'm enjoying the mix more than either of the two components individually. The beer dilutes the molasses in the whiskey and the whiskey balances the extreme spice.

Time is nature's way of preventing everything from happening at once.

Unless you're on a dose of 5MEO-DMT. Then time has no meaning for a short time.

    Yopo. YOLO. I don't know.

Someday I should replace that front glass on my framed reprint of Persistence of Memory. But the crack in the glass always reminds me of the fragility of time, so I may just leave it.

As opposed to Persistence of Time.

Time is what you make of it. So get out there and make the most of it, damnit.

    Cheers!

Parish Rêve - Mocha Hazelnut. Incredible. Lasting head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with light notes of dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/velvety/bready malts, and lightly sticky/chalky hop/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. No cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Mild increasing warmth of 7%. Fantastic soft/silky feel for the ABV. Fantastic balance of rich malts, hazelnut, vanilla, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with light earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Pretty much perfectly balanced between all flavors. Not overwhelming on any aspect. Really superb coffee stout. 4.28

2018 Gouden Carolus cuvée van de Keizer Imperial Dark. It’s a solid brew with some good flavors, but I bit too sweet for my taste. Maybe a few years in the cellar will mellow it out? Anyways, Cheers!

    Necessary.
The early discussions here, after reading last night's WBAYDN madness, make me feel normal.
    And boring.
    But mostly normal.
    Cheers, you hooligans.
