For my area at least, stores that I've seen carrying beer have their beer finder inventory listed as getting "Brut Ipa S.N." instead. Unfortunately selecting the Brut option as a filter doesn't actually result in these stores popping up as hits, but it may be helpful to see if that's listed when just looking at stores in your area.

On the Sierra Nevada website their 4 seasonal beers are:

    · 40th Anniversary Ale: Jan. – March

    · Summerfest: March – June

    · Oktoberfest: July – September

    · Celebration: October – December

    https://sierranevada.com/release-dates/

On an editorial note I personally will not be missing the Brut IPA as part of their seasonal offerings.

    Cheers!

    Sure it is:

    Celebration
    Oktoberfest
    40 Years
    Summerfest
    Narwhal
    Bigfoot
    Hoptimum

All have the Out of Season marker on them under the "Mainstays" list in the Filter by Beer section of the Beer Finder.

If I search for it in my zipcode I get a return of 0 Locations Found.

I have a bottle of Celebration in my fridge too. Maybe I’ll do a blind side by side of the two beers.

    You'll need opaque glasses.

I have been having the same problem while using their beer finder, as I was hoping to have it on NYE. But I do know that it is in my area now because a shop advertised as such so the beer finder appears to be faulty for this beer (it's always been accurate for me otherwise).

You should also get the Pale Ale and Northern Hemi for the event

Perhaps since 40th Anniversary is 'advertised' as being a January - March seasonal they did not want to have the beer finder 'active' for this beer until today (or the next working day for the website administrator)?

    Cheers!

For what it's worth, the finder does seem to be working for my area -- because the 40th is nowhere to be seen around here. I just wondered why it's tagged with "out of season" when so many are finding it on shelves -- and seem to have been finding it even prior to January.

I love SN but I loathe their redesigned beer finder. Seems overdesigned to me but ymmv. Just give me a simple query tool like the following link and I'm happy as I do not need bells & whistles

I used this link and found 40th Anniversary Ale all over by me. I recommend using the above link in your search. Good luck.

I agree with you about their beer finder and on a mobile it can be annoying. This worked perfectly, thank you!

I typically use coffee mugs for blind tastings.

Well damn, this one says it's nowhere within 25 miles of me. Oh well.

This link shows it all over the place in my neighborhood, but I was just in a few of those retailers and they had nothing on shelves. Hiding it like Bourbon County?

I have to run around tomorrow, I'll double-check a couple spots.

    Probably because I web guy
Thanks for the heads up... Our web guy is looking into it. They are programmed to automatically appear "in season" every 3 months (starting 1/1/2020) and extend 30 days past the three month window. After looking into it he found a glitch that he's trying to fix... So thanks again.

I bought a 6-pack in a local shop (<5 miles away) on Tuesday, but using that link ZERO shops turned up within a 10 mile radius of my ZIP Code. And the only shop that turned up within a 25 mile radius was across Long Island Sound in CT! BTW, really looking forward to drinking 1-2 this weekend!
