    Passing through and now sitting in Amsterdam on a cold, chilly day. I’ll leave it to @DoctorZombies to give the weather update. Enjoying a Jopen Mooie Nel IPA. Yep, it was a new one for me too, but it is pretty tasty. Enjoy!

    The holiday's all seemed to fly by as quick as ever. It's now time to ponder the task of dismantling and packing it away which should take a couple of weeks and many beers.

    Continuing the purge of old forgotten bottles with this 02/11/15 KBS. Yeah the coffee is long gone, but there's still plenty of chocolate and barrel to make it worthwhile.

    Wonderful part of the Isenheimer Altar by Matthias Grünewald. I've seen the complete work twice and really like to see it again. The angels are rather special.
    (It is on display in the French city of Colmar, for who is interested)

    Lindemans Strawberry Lambic

    Clear rose gold color with good white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of ripe strawberries laced with tart lemon.

    Taste is much sweeter than the aroma indicated but not cloyingly so, rather a ripe berry sweetness. Running parallel is a light lemony tartness that is slightly puckering but definitely not sour. I think sweetness is the core here and don't know if it's from the fruit or something added but it is restrained and refined. Like Hersey is sweet but Godiva is sweet with class.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

    A high tone import with finesses but I would take it after dinner as a desert pairing.

    The local weather report? It was in the 30’s and spitting rain all day here...watching “The Crown” and warming up with a Christmas BOMB! poured at 57 degrees:

    Yesterday we visited the Van Gogh museum, and tomorrow we visit the Rijksmuseum...
