New Year, New Beer! Let’s see what kind of trouble we can get into this year.

You all know the drill. Welcome to 2020. The beer list for this year sounds insane, and if it’s anything like the last half of 2019, it’s going to be insane!

Looking forward to another year where the RS members get twice as much as the HS members for a beloved release.

Hope nobody gets mad and tries to revoke a membership via forums this year!

I see frucht: dragonfruit guava listed on the store but see no check ins on Untappd. Is it a new beer for this year?

No, it’s on the store. Guess no one on Untappd wanted it?

New Year, new beer!! Really looking forward to trying that Aloha Friday

Also, is it too early to begin discussing Member events? Last year I attended the Welcome party but skipped the Anniversary party. This year I think I'll do the reverse, as I've heard so many so many good things about the Anniversary bash.

Anniversary party is way better. Welcome party is just a lot of preview beers that you'll drink eventually when they release anyway. Anniversary party has a lot more specialty kegs and 1-ofs. Also guest brewery list is usually pretty amazing.

The anniversary party is fantastic, the brewery list and tap list is always top notch.

I always fly down for the anniversary party, it's worth it.

100% agree. My dad and I separately fly out to meet for a guy's weekend every year centered around the party. Brewery hopping, Angels game, Anny party, does not disappoint...

Just tried @fegelFatso favorite beer of 2019, Chocolate Reign. I found my bottle to be very dry and Oaky on day one, it seemed rough overall. When I tried it on day 2 it tasted as I expected, loads of chocolate and subtle vanilla, with a mild bourbon finish. My wife who typically doesn't like stouts commented on how good it was.

So you're not supposed to power through an entire bottle in one sitting? Never thought of that.

Thanks all for the Welcome vs Anniversary party input. Anniversary Party it is!! Yeah, the Welcome party was nice but from all accounts I'm hearing the Anni party is the bomb. Looking forward to it! :sunglasses:

Anniversary Party is one of my favorite festivals I've been to. I've been the last 2 years and each has been great. Last year's brewery/beer list was insane.

Any idea if it will be at the Phoenix Club again this year? Someone told me the venue was recently sold.

So after this last e-mail, it looks like the Placentia Tues-Wed closure is a permanent thing. Maybe not, But it doesn’t say anything about holiday hours any longer.

Doesn’t bother me too much since I live less than four miles away but I can see how it might be an issue for some folks.

Also, couldn’t find anything about the Phoenix Club being sold.
