Like everyone, I've settled in to watch the most important bowl game of the season . . . IU vs. Tennessee. Gotta keep it local tonight, Bloomington's Upland Brewing made this Toasted Coconut BBA Teddy Bear Kisses, RIS (that's a mouthfull). First time having this, pretty darn solid. Playing the Resident Evil 2 remake. They really did an amazing job with the new RE engine. Graphics are incredible.



Barrier The Great Experiment Volume 4: Honor. Awesome. Lasting head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness, minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.3%. Awesome Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, and El Dorado profile. Very vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Impressive as expected of all the breweries involved. 4.13

I've been playing that game every night for the last month. I'm still doing "Assisted" runs though, regular mode is too hard for even this RE veteran.

I agree though, very well done on scares and character/environment development. I still prefer the original, but I didn't think that would ever change anyways.

The Robert Kendo side game is cool (once you unlock it)

Bell's Blackbeard's Bear Hug Imperial Stout Aged in Rum Barrels w Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Coconut, 14.4% ABV. Pours black and thick with no head, but has some floaties. Nose is mainly rum and cinnamon, slight vanilla, with coconut on the close. Taste is mostly rum and coconut, with cinnamon on the close. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Outstanding mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

I saw some folks who had this on WBAYDN yesterday and was thinking I'd need to go out-of-state to get some. Then an incredible porch-bomb arrived from @Justonemore91 today with two of these. I just love me some rum and cinnamon stouts!

 

This roasty lager is hitting the spot right now as my night cap!

 

Minus points for the floaties but still a terrific stout. Glad you enjoyed it cheers

 

I actually gave it points for the floaties. Really cool the way they stick to the glass in the place of lacing.

Trillium Puny Partridge APA from their little bird series. Super drinkable at 5% ABV, features Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin hops balanced with a malt profile of Maris Otter and Naked Malted Oats. Leading with aromas of freshly squeezed orange juice, pith, and tropical fruit. The blank canvas that will become a duck meat taco......

 

Showed my wife the puppy pic. She was in awe.
