Dungeons is probably my favorite Half Acre IPA, so Double Dungeons is very intriguing. Since I'm trying not to buy any beer this month, I will have to find a reason to swing by and have a pour on tap.

Smartass. I meant that I'm not supposed to buy any packaged beer to take home that would add to my excess inventory of beer that I already have.

Of course, I do know some people that get free beer whenever they go to Half Acre, but I'm not anywhere cool enough to be one of those people.

Yeah, my friend is doing something similar. No packaged beer, allowed to buy beer at bars. It's a good idea - obviously a better way to lessen your cellar than dry January.

Because you are trapped in the house once the weather dropped below 40 degrees again?

Croush goes to the growler bar and just keeps asking for tastings of the same beer until he gets kicked out.

Do you work at a nuclear power plant and eat donuts like a duck? Because if so, you seem very familiar...

I’ll be loading up once they send it out for distro.
At first I was upset it was hazy, but burl and shores have been so damn good that I got over it pretty fast.

If you're like me, it's everything I look for in hazy IPAs. The hop presence is not covered up at all, the juicy, citrus-y characteristics of the style are there, a nice, crisp hop bite comes through on the end, and it's not overly sweet by any means.

If anybody is not a fan of crazy sweet hazy IPAs (ie Hop Butcher), this one is for you. It's easily the best IPA I've had in a very long time.

Hallelujah. I’m tired of all the kiddie juice box IPAs these days. Everything I try that’s been hyped up comes across overly sweet with nothing to balance it. Just more sweetness instead. I’m glad to hear that is not the case with the Half Acre offerings, which is why they are my favorite NE IPA brewer in the city in addition to being my favorite IPA brewer in the city, period.

As reported, Double Dungeons is a juicy hazy version of Dungeons. If you like hazy beers, you’ll like this a lot. If you’re over them (like me), you’ll be wishing for OG Dungeons.
