Early responses to that pricing don't seem great. Although it is cheaper per ounce than their BA bottles, I believe. The Henna/Mehndi bottles are $25 for 16.9 ounces, while you get 32 ounces here for $30. Definitely expensive, but it doesn't ruffle my feathers much.

Any clue if this is a "Shaun" batch? Gotta assume they are running out of those, if not out already...

Hard to say without knowing how long it was in barrels. Shaun left More about 9.5 months ago (I believe it was mid-March 2019), so this really could go either way. My completely uneducated guess is that it is not a Shaun batch, but I presume they still do have some stuff from him sitting in barrels that they may be waiting to age longer.

Tried the BA IFC Karmic yesterday – so so so sweet. Not worth the pricetag, IMO. Double Dusty on the other hand was tasting great.

The reality is that if they sell them all on Friday, then the price was right (if not low). My guess is that they will sell out Friday. That being said, for people that are into craft beer such as most people on here, we all know about options and there are simply too many other options at a much lower price for me to justify $15/can.

The description on untappd says it was aged a year, which would make it a Shaun brew.

Interestingly, the negative reviews on untappd say that it lacks barrel....

This has been my experience with almost every BA adjunct beer More has done. I've never gotten a good barrel presence in any of the BA Henna bottles I've opened (the only one I missed was Toasted Marshmallow), and I definitely prefer the non-BA Hennas

this is 100% a Shaun brewed beer. He brewed and barreled it Dec 2018. The new team decided to make it Karma-like and added the Karma adjuncts. Make sense ?

Additionally, they still have the collab Shaun hosted with VooDoo. That was suppose to sit for 18-24 months. Maybe a Fobab 2020 entry???? Those are still in barrels however

Yeah, I don't get this either. The Mehndi 18 I got was $25. That's basically $1.48 per oz (BC variant territory) versus the beer being released today at $1.07 per oz. Not sure where the outrage is here. Their BA stuff has always been pricey.

Damn, the internets said the line was just over 100 at 11am. I really wish I would have worked from home today. A More BA "porter" release with only 360 allotments, I figured you would have to get there by 9am to score one.

Darn you guys, in between work meetings and looking forward to a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Arrive to find a madhouse with zero spots available at the bar and all tables filled. Mexican food instead!
