I’m starting this so it’s done by a local vs. a thrice-yearly visitor (who I’m more inclined to block, thus making the whole thread invisible to me). In exchange, I won’t start the “Jackie O’s (2020)” thread.

Have at it now with idle/inane speculation, social-media reposts and oft-repetitive questions …

I wish - Tavour doesn't deliver to VA (and a bunch of neighboring states). Personally I like acquiring a few Cycle beers every now and again.

I personally care vary much about Cycle releases and appreciate the thread. I've never really been a beer trader or into secondary market so I'm enjoying the wide availability of their stouts in the tasting room.

On the Tavour note though, I never seem to see any Cycle there even when Cycle announces. Is there any geographic logic on Tavour that might be filtering out their stuff from my offerings?

I really dont know, I was just in NYC and one of the bottle shop / Beer bars had a cooler full of bottles and some of the cans. I asked him where he got it and he (after knowind I was from FL) Said the owner got them off Tavour. The bottles where $40-$50 and the cans where $9 each.

I'd rather trade with someone from FL and share some MA treats with a fellow BA than go the Tavour route. The cost is just about the same too

I get it, I would rather trade as well. Maybe there will be a line during TBBW just to get the bottles and move over to other events. but the day of Cycle being "limited: are over.

Im down TT let me know.

I care, they put out product that is a) available and b) better than the shit people stand in line for at Hidden Springs (and I'd argue Cycle's batting average is higher than AC's as well). They've also been putting out quality draft only variants at the tap room.

Edit: speaking of draft only variants

Floridians just need to thank God, we are surrounded by a load of great stouts. Who expected people wouldn’t care Cycle anymore? I personally care though.

I asked Tavour after seeing this hoping I can save a drive over. They said they’ve never sold Cycle cans and only have gotten a very limited number of bottles that have already sold out so looks like I’ll be making a trek up this weekend.

Any info if there's no limits on number of tickets per person? Last year I was there by chance and managed to buy tickets for friends and limits were kinda lifted in person.

Tavour always seemed not the best at evenly distribution of limited items

As someone who has purchased multiple cycle brews from tavour I can tell you that none are $40-50. All I have seen have been $25-30. Have never seen cycle cans though

How does the bottle share at BA Day work? I'm traveling down from Virginia, trying to figure out what to bring, what's the sharing etiquette, etc. Does it take place at the actual event? And how "friendly" is the share, i.e., people in small groups? Or more of a free-for-all? Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Most of the VIP ticket holders will grab all of the tables at the courts.... Bottle share will go on there as well as anywhere you want. also watch your bottles, if you put an open bottle down on a table to be mad if it disappears, also there are a few scumbags that go through coolers once thy are drunk... (happend to me 2 years ago).. To sum it up-- its a free for all.

I find it to be a mix of both. There are some snobby groups that break up and open mega whales as a dick swing... then there are others that just pop bottles and leave them on the table or walk around and pour for others.

    it’s a giant organized mess...

if you bring some good stuff, you should be able to jump into a table or group.
