Is that directed at any employee in particular?

$75 seems like a lot for two hours ... i'm trying to rationalize it to myself by saying the take-home crowler is $15, plus the meal is maybe another $15 ... but then i'm not drinking as much if i'm in line for a burger so.... think i may sit this one out ... can anyone convince me otherwise?

I guess this is how they've always done it , but it seems like kind of a ballkick to charge RS and HS the same amount when you don't get access to the same beers. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. HS costs more to be in, and by and large the HS bottles are on the high end of the price spectrum, so for this event, getting more pours of those seems like it should be more expensive (or RS be less expensive)

I also don't think "unlimited" high gravity pours jammed into 2hrs sounds particularly reasonable. I live in DC so I won't be there either way, but I do think there's some legitimate concerns with the arrangement this year.

Passing on this easily, I would of hoped they extended to 3 hours instead. Also, due to the pricing, wonder the details on this years Anniversary.

I thinks that is the way it has always been with their events, HS gets tastings of special bottles. Which I had no issue with when I was a RS. There is a space separate at BT events and at the Anni events for Hoarders who get specialty beer.

Side note, in 2020 can we get raspberry cheesecake BT to go in crowlers, growlers, cans, bottles, zip lock bags, or vials? Would like to take some home and drink it while sitting on my couch.

I'm thinking of having an un-welcome party at the OG tasting room that day. Order a flight, get a pizza delivered, and take my time.

$75 is a joke, but people will pay it anyway. There's always a new crop of people just getting into beer that view Bruery as the top tier.

I view them as top tier. The more places I go the more I realize how good their stuff really is. Currently drinking mash and french toast and love every sip of it.

See, always somebody who is happy to put Bruery in that tier and pay those prices. They know this, and that’s why they can increase the price by $30 and not worry about the outcome.

True. I won't pay that to go to that party, I just think they are in the top tier. I will pay $75 to go BT party because I love the beer I get at those events from the bruery.....raspberry cheesecake.

Maybe the better term to use is “inexperienced beer fans who put Bruery in the top-tier or people who just don’t care”. You’ve been around the scene enough to know how to spend your money in a smart manner (even when faced with a brewery you enjoy), plus you were in RS when the tickets were $30 for a longer duration and unlimited pours. I agree that the BT and Anniversary parties are both the better deals, however I’m curious what those events looks like with this Welcome Party change.

I was just messing with you with semantics. The list has hottenroth on it. I wonder how much of that is sitting around. Haven't seen that in a while.

It's funny. Because you don't put them in a top tier means no one else does. Is this overpriced? Ya. Does that mean they aren't a top tier brewery no.

I agree with this. They may no longer be the hot new shit in town, but they still produce a lot of world class beers.

I’ll be passing on this. That’s no $15 meal either.

Also, this $75 doesn’t bode well for the anniversary party. Calling $100 for that right now. I will pay that though.
