A new decade, a new thread...happy to report I’m no worse for wear after the sandwich. Would have it again!

Plan to open 13 Hands later today.

Just popped in to add some comments about the current menu .

The wings, ramen and poutine are all on point.

So FFF just posted that they have Arctic Panzer Wolf at the brewpub and it's "Not in package yet, but something special coming soon."

Could this finally be cans of FFF DIPAs?

People on Facebook were saying it's going to be four packs of 12 oz cans. I really hope they are pints.

Magnums. Seems like the only package format they are not currently using yet

I’m fine with 12oz. I don’t need to be slamming pints of 10% beers

Kind of gamey, but the Earl of Biggleswade aioli really complements it well.

Am I the only one that has been offended that Dreadnaught or APW have not been regularly distributed the past few years? I'm really hoping that this is a sign of things to come.

Stopped by yesterday. I can honestly say I am glad this is a 50 minute drive from Roselle, I would be here far too often otherwise. As far as I know, there is no word on Artic Panzer Wolf being bottled or canned.

    Following beers were amazing:
    - Stone Feathers...the banana shined
    - Snow & Rock...perfect take on a doppelbock
    - Alpha Naught...star of the show. Typical hops in the face DIPA yet smooth.
    - Alpha Kong...never disappoints

    Following beers were very good:
Alpha Khan...Smooth, probably due to the lactose, little bit of a lingering tart aftertaste but I would order again

Following beers were not my cup of tea:
    - BA Apocalypse Cow...I don't think I have ever liked a gin barrel beer. They always taste like someone dumped gin into the glass. Thus, do not listen to my opinion.

All food was mouth watering delicious:
    - Mac & Cheese
    - Brisket Taco
    - Fried Pickle Beans
    - Cheese curds

FFF is just the gold standard.

As much as I am saddened their promised Chicago Brewpub from 8 years ago still isn't a reality, my wallet is also thankful it hasn't come to fruition...

Honestly feels like a weird omission. Don't get me wrong, if it ended up being on Milwaukee like I thought was planned I'd never go anyway, but I always assumed they'd make a killing, if just based on their name alone. I know plenty of people who have no knowledge of craft and still think FFF is a big deal (not saying they're not, just saying they're arguably less "trendy" than they used to be).

Yeah. Illinois may have just become too much of a hassle to worry about opening a taproom in Chicago. They are growing quite nicely without it. Increased production, canning line, distillery... all those things could be playing a factor.

For my sake, selfishly, I really prefer that they don't go the trendy route (kiddie juice boxes, milkshakes/slushies or Cinnabon diabetes stouts) and that they stay mostly as they are. Over the last year especially, I've found myself making my way back to the beers and breweries that really got me into this hobby in the first place and discovering I still really love those. 3Floyds. Half-Acre. Pipeworks.

I'm in the minority in that I have very little to no interest in Phase 3, Hop Butcher, Mikerphone and the like. Just give me some 3Floyds Alpha King, Zombie Dust, Gumballhead and the like, and I'll be happy.

This all day. For me, add in Off Color & BA Rev to FFF, Half Acre & Pipeworks & they cover everything I would want to drink with (relatively) little hassle to acquire.

I was at Hopleaf last night and had a Floyds IPA I'd never heard of...Hop O.P., a collaboration with War Pigs.

It reminded me of Double Dungeon from Half Acre, actually, in that it had some of the "juicy" characteristics of a New England style IPA but also had a strong "Three Floyds IPA" vibe as well. In fact, I think it pulled that balancing act off a little better than DD. Worth a try if you're on the northside!
