    I wish this beer wowed me like it once did. Peace to my man, JS, who's responsible for creating the Hunter and giving me my first taste of this beer many years ago. It was better in Harrisburg. There, I said it. Yet, and you already know what I'm about to say -- I'M THANKFUL.

    This Weizenbock features a somewhat unique flavor profile that is very much dominated by the more spicy clove esters, with little banana coming through, while also featuring some herbal notes and a hint of citrus.

    Another slow day. I was struggling to stay awake even with extra caffeine. More games tonight for sure. Probably more Bad Company 2 and Twilight Princess like last night. I actually got past a part of BC2 I was stuck on my 360, I always play FPS better on PC!

    Rochester Mills Leroy. Excellent American Brown. Lasting rocky head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate/cocoa, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Smooth, not overly aggressive. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Great Galena, Mt. Rainier, Amarillo, Chinook profile. Very vibrant, dank, earthy hops; with a nicely rich dark/bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. More of a Brown IPA, but really impressive. 4.03

    Third bottle for me, and tasting better than the 1st & 2nd, @meanmutt. Perhaps it's growing on me. Fat Head's typically puts forth a solid effort. I'm just trying to ascertain how much I like it. Cheers!!!

    When I visit the OBX, NC I almost always pick up a few by this brewery. I have not seen anything by the brewery in Richmond.
