I'm guessing the only similarity is price....

2018 Dungeons is one of the best IPAs I’ve ever had. It’s one of the beers I think about most. Looked very similar to Bodem. Maybe a click more malt color. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was part of their journey towards creating Bodem (along with Adean Wake and other small batch stuff in ‘18

last year it was hazy. Delicious but not quite the same drinkability as it was with previous batches.

I stopped in on Friday night to have Double Dungeons and thought it was fine, but I definitely preferred regular Dungeons over it. Hopefully they still have that lined up to be released.

Hmm... wonder how DD compares to Loft (the other DIPA), he asked vicariously.
    $9 a pint though.

Dungeons is proper haze. Not quite as sexy as it was prior to the hazing, but it appears HA has haze figured out. Burl, shores, now this.

anyone tried the strawberry loam? I passed on the $25 price tag last time I was in there, and now that it appears to be gone, my fomo is kicking in something fierce...

It was okay. Solid, but nothing spectacular in this day and age. $25? I believe it was in a 16.9oz bottle and closer to $15 if I recall correctly. I got this after having a really good glass of Goose Island Gillian a few weeks prior and Strawberry Loam didn't measure up.

I suppose it's possible I was hallucinating, but I thought I saw it in .750s...

Scene report from Half Acre - Lincoln from Saturday night.

Double Dungeons was good, but it sits in the middle of the New England style and Half Acre's typical IPA. It's not going to wow either crowd, most likely, but it is certainly enjoyable.

BA Big Hugs was tasty. Benthic is way better, IMO, but it's worth drinking for sure.

Favorite of the night, surprisingly to me, was White Noise, an English Mild Ale. Easy to drink with a lot of pleasant, malty flavors. They killed it!

Actually, my real favorite of the night was the Po'Boy Burrito. So, so good.

I actually like regular big hugs much more than BA Hugs. I think the base version is just an outstanding beer.

    - had to look myself (6.5%) but same difference -- a great middleweight Stout between a dry Irish and an Export Stout; what i appreciate myself is the almost coffee note to it, and the hops give it the impression that it could be a black IPA. It's a damn fine Stout.
Have yet to dig into the Big Hugs but will soon. Cheers! I do love Myshka, too.

Only if it was yours. But seriously, they've had misses, especially that Brett pale 2+ years ago. That ish was undrinkable (to me).

Half Acre is proud to release Only If It Was Yours - a wild ride of questionable judgment that will borderline on the unpleasantly familiar. Chock full of lemon pith with a bitter tinge that will make you seriously re-evaluate your life choices. Limited run only for CO distro.

HA Double Dungeons is the real deal. At first it tasted like a slightly different hopped Beer Hates Astronouts, but the sugar and mouthfeel opens up into a Hop Butcher NEIPA as a few minutes pass. I could not tell the difference between it and a top 15 HB NEIPA if you put them in a blind taste test. Kudos to HA.

It’s got more carb and initial bitterness than most HB hazy beer. Which for me is a pro. Although that octopus beer that came out recently was pretty damn good
