    At work right now, so not drinking, but I just heard you guys in the midwest are about to get hit by basically the same weather system that clobbered the hell out of us here the last four or five days.

    Stay warm, stay safe, and above all PLEASE don't drink and drive! I wanna see ya'll live! I'll be back this afternoon.

    Sierra Nevada Hoppy Anniversary Ale 6%.
    This is better than I thought It was going to be. I like the hop flavor. I don't think it will hold up over time tho. Glad I got a 12pk. I seem to be going through it pretty quickly.

    [​IMG] Boxing up some beers for two fine and I must say lucky BA’s @jzeilinger and @tasterschoice62 and a hint this may be one of them.

    Poured into a 13 oz long tulip glass canned on 1/09/20. Pours a beautiful hazy dark yellow with a massive 2 plus finger sticky white head that leaves big thick patches of lace, with amazing retention. 4.75

    Smell is pineapple, tangerine, papaya, guava, apricot, and some hints of grapefruit rind. 4.75

    Taste follows juicy front to back pineapple, tangerine, guava, papaya upfront with apricot and grapefruit shining in very balanced finish, with just a hint of bitterness in the lingering finish. 5

    Mouthfeel is big and soft on the palate, slightly sticky but not dry, and at 9.2% it is mind numbing how easy it goes down. 5

    Overall this one without a doubt belongs in the the conversation of greatest on this planet, amazing beer. 4.75

    White Elm Eh? Imperial Maple Stout, 8% ABV. Pours dark brown and somewhat thin, with a short head that vaporized instantly, leaving no lacing. Nose is sweet maple, lactose, chocolate, and coffee, taste follows with some roast malt and slight bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin and under-carbonated. Overall excellent.

    A pseudo-Canadian beer on a blizzardy day. Everything is shut down here and we're not going anywhere, though could still get around if needed. We're getting around six inches of snow, maybe freezing rain, high winds and cold temps. Based on past experience, we'll probably have some power flickers, though have several battery backUPS to carry the network, computers and TV. Good weekend to catch up on my backlog of new beer reviews and watch some football.

    I'm also at work, and you're correct. It's snowing right now, and it's coming down hot and heavy. No drinking, and hoping for a safe drive home tonight and to and from work tomorrow.
