    Morning BAs...

Starting light with my regular Leffe. In a few hours we are going to a restaurant for lunch since it was my GF birthday just this week... so here’s to kick off this sunny weekend

I can wait NO LONGER! Today’s lunch beer is brought to me by @TheGent, and is a milk stout by Weldwerks, who I have been longing to put in my mouth. Yes, I know how that sounds, and I don’t care!

@JamFuel is up at it and early too.

I think we need to make this a great thread. 20 pages would be delusional these days but... 15 pages is reasonable.

@TheIPAHunter @CanConPhilly @VABA @larryi86 we might need some help here.

Drink, post away and enjoy the show!

Beer #2 is Golden Ale by Roslagens Brygghus. This is a small brewery from north of Stockholm that I ordered a beer from randomly and was impressed by. Going through all their styles, and keep getting impressed. I also really dig the quaint, almost home brew-esque labels. This is a very nice, clean and refreshing ale. I’m a fan!

Have a nice Saturday. A couple buddies came over to have some homebrew mead and beer from my kegerator. They left at 6AM. I swapped the CO2 yesterday after being empty for well over a year. Put it back on force carb because all the beer was flat. All taste great still. Irish Red, Hoppy Saison, and American Stout. After I kill these kegs I am going to disassemble my Perlick faucets for sure. Never been cleaned other than occasional BLC. Still not gunked up, but a bit sticky. I played Zelda Twilight princess and Battlefield BC2 tonight. Back to being Wolf Link in the Kakariko Village. First temple boss was really easy.

Planning on going to the LHBS and getting a brown ale kit to make on Monday off. Better dust off those buckets and pots. Last batch I made said I ordered on Morebeer August 2017, so the equipment has been lying around.

I've just been jamming to some metal songs otherwise on the Ibanez 1527. Should be buying my Schecter 8 string from the shop in a couple months. I have my SG getting rewired electronics right now. Pedalboard soon, maybe before the guitar. I learned some new chord shapes from random metal songs too. My chops are amazing right now, better than I have ever played my guitar in 20 years. Very clean sweeps and scales!

2018 Cafe Deth. Amazing as always. Aromas and flavors of huge dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, bourbon, toasted oak, roasted nuts, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, roast, charred, coffee bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Light slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char/tannin dryness; no cloying/acrid flavors. Dangerously smooth, mild increasing warmth of 14.8%, minimal lingering booze. This was definitely better than the base beer for me. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, fruity/nutty coffee complexity, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; with mild fruity yeast and earthy hops against sweetness. Was definitely less bitter/charred/drying than the base. Still love both. Spot on RIS style examples all around.

BIG day ahead for me! Well, sort of.

I am making a recycling run this morning to once again empty my basement of AL CANs (NO, NOT The CANQuest (tm) CANs! Those go to Jeff Lebo of York Haven, PA's BrewHouse Mountain Eco Inn), scrap metal, et al. I am my block's Adopt-A-Block captain & I am CANstantly bringing home any discarded metal for recycling, but I need to recruit a ride to the recycling center so that every trip becomes noteworthy.

This afternoon, I am going to see "Echo In the Canyon" at our local arthouse theatre, weather permitting.

    Right NOW, I am drinking:

Further, I am off until Wednesday morning (good news, right @bowzer4birdie ?) & so I should be able to make repeated visits over the course of the day! Your wish is my CANmand. I'll be back with more … stuff!

Beer #3 is Rubus of Rosé by Mikkeller Baghaven. This is a Sour aged for 14 months with raspberries. I have stated before that I am a **** for raspberry sours, and this comes awfully close to the king itself, Rosé de Gambrinus by Cantillon. Baghaven should be more hyped than it is...

Don't expect too much help from me. I can rarely drink more than two and then I'm off to bed. A real embarrassment to the men of my family. But what I lack in quantity I will try to make up in quality. Got some really good stuff in the fridge and I need to start drinking them to make some room for food items.

Good day BAs! Currently enjoying the freezing rain on top of last night's snow. Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

Not really thrilled with the resolution using postimages.org, but hey! it's still (marginally) better than no pix at all, right @bowzer4birdie?
Yinz guys have fun going for 15+ pages - my beer consumption is down as I save for my spring trip to Bamberg to drink local German beers. If anybody else wants to join us, BM me.
Whoops, almost forgot - I had a minor orgasm to find Ecliptic locally - first good beer from the Pacific NW to make into the wilds of NW PA.

Well, due to peer pressure from @Shanex and @JamFuel I cracked open a bottle of Lags Willitized Coffee Stout. No visual proof as my cell phone is in the bedroom with my sleeping wife. I think it is grounds for divorce if I wake her in order to take beer **** pics.
