Decent list. Can't really argue with the choices for Washington.

Wow. So many beers that I have to agree with. Phenomenal.

I wouldn't rate Victory Prima Pils as a top beer in PA in 2020, maybe, maybe years ago, but not 2020.

TLDR but what I did read (I did scan through the whole thing) is undoubtedly missing some great beers and breweries and seems to be based on hype from several years ago.

That's a majority of posts in this thread so far. You folks read the intro to their list right?

MA (my hometown state) - I feel like FPPA is coasting off its past reputation. I would do Julius, JA House Lager, and CBC's Cerise Cassee, personally, which I consider the state's best sour.

VA only had 1 beer. What gives?

Some of the regional designations are messed up. Maryland and Delaware are definitely not the Southeast.

Yeah, but I don't know anyone in PA who loves Prima Pils, so would have a hard time describing it as "beloved" lol.

Sincerely curious, there's another thread up right now about the ages of BA users, which group do you fit in?

I don't see that thread, unless it's the thread referencing what beers led me to craft beers?

I'm really surprised by the inclusion of Vine Shine. Not that it isn't good - it is. But it gets buried by Magnify's weekly releases of other IPAs. I rarely drink Vine Shine. I guess I should "rediscover" it. I think Boat is the most iconic beer brewed in NJ. If I were picking a Kane beer I'd probably go with ANTEAD over Sunday Brunch but that's splitting hairs.

This is a great list of great beers.
NC got four beers listed, out of a thousand breweries in NC?
Burial Surf Wax and Duck Rabbit Milk Stout, both are represative of NC beers.
But, there are many, many more great NC beers.
The Wedge in Asheville, conspicuously absent. If, you go Asheville, go to The Wedge.

Shiner Bock for Texas? I mean, really...

Other than that, about my only complaint would be that I have tried exactly none of the three Iowa beers listed. I've never seen any 515 beers, and the only Pulpit Rock beer I've found here was a collab with SingleSpeed. And then there's KBBS, which I doubt that I will ever see.

BTW, the Pulpit Rock-SingleSpeed collab, Coconut Migration, is an IPA that is rested on toasted coconut. It is very close to Pineapple Sculpin in terms of ABV and IBU, so naturally I mixed the two together in equal proportions. The result was a PiƱa Colada IPA that will blow your socks off. (If you like that sort of thing...)

And yea your right about Vine Shine, weird for sure but I really do enjoy that beer. Have some now and it's really an awesome change of pace from their other beers. Big pine needles and grapefruit with a clean yeast strain.

New Belgium is certainly a pioneer with American brewed sour beers. I remember when la folie was a whale.
