Screw the beer line, I may go and start the line-up for the food on Thursday evening!

 

those tacos don't sound like the ones i could get for 1.50 at this hidden gem around the corner from home goods in palatine

 

You're going to open up the can of worms for everybody to weigh in what we should be paying for good tacos in this city again. Queue up the people ripping Cruz Blanca prices...

2016 Totally Uncalled Four
Barrel-aged Quadrupel with Chamomile - 13.9% - Single Barrel

Matured for 30 months in a Woodford Reserve barrel, this strong, dark time capsule eludes to a V.S.O. Series still years away from conception in late 2013. Malt complexity, supersized body, pronounced and balancing oak tannin, it's all here. Spicy, fruity Belgian esters and chamomile aromatics have relaxed over the subsequent six years, making this one of the most refined and complex beers in our library.

 

This was on draft at the brewer / barrelmaster event at the Brewpub, and it was DELICIOUS.

 

I know I've said this before, but one of my absolute favorite things Rev is doing with their barrel program is that they're aging so many beers for a lot longer than a year. Everyone is doing 10-12 months in barrels, but adding another year or two (even before all the other stuff that goes into them) makes these all so interesting.

 

But you're here to start an online goose chase for info and leave it open ended whether you've seen the draft list or not. Thanks for letting us know we'll be graced with your presence for the event.

 

Hell yes! Very curious to see how this is doing, I was super jealous when it popped up at that Brewpub event
