I know it's irrelevant, but how's the beer taste?

Well... if you like Robitussin and the medicinal cherry taste of it, you'll enjoy Cherry Truffle. Smores, on the other hand, sweet but nice for a pour or even two. I think a 16oz would be a bit much for me, but I rated it much better than CT.

Cherry truffle is an absolute travesty. It seems to be extremely similar today to the test batch on new years which was horrid. Havent had smores but heard it's very sweet. More ran out of Shaun's product and having the curtain pulled back on sub par brewing. To many other great operations in Chicagoland to get though.

That's quite an extreme take considering the only first hand experience you list is the fruited version of their stout.

I dont know why most people dog that Cherry Truffle I had it a few days after the New Year and thought it was pretty good, the Smores was just as good as I remember B1 being which was amazing

I wanted to like the S'mores, since Henna b3 was incredible. This version of S'mores fell WAY short, and it's not even in the same league as Henna b3. It's insanely sweet, and unbalanced, to the point of where my 5oz pour felt like a chore. I was also only getting vanilla - absolutely no chocolate, and definitely no graham cracker.

I planned on going back tomorrow to double up on S'mores cans, but I have no interest in acquiring any more cans of that.

I wasn't interested in the Cherry Truffle, so I didn't purchase any cans or draft pours of it. I did have a taste of it at Rev later, and I'm pretty satisfied with my decision to completely skip that one.

I’m still trying to figure out why people lined up for this so early. I’d expect it to be good (despite what some of the reviews seem to say), but there are so many good beers sitting on the shelves, including pastry stouts and BA stouts. I don’t doubt these brewers can make a good beer, but what has warranted these lines?

I think the Henna name still draws a popular turn out even with Shaun leaving. I would like to say it is for love of the beer but in reality it comes down to beer trades and max profits. The resale market on these beers is already crazy

That’s kinda what my hunch was. I also wondered if someone could give me their honest opinion if they lined up early. If Shaun were still there I could understand.

I lined up early purely based off of how much I loved Henna b3. I figured that this version wouldn't be as phenomenal, but I didn't expect to hate it as much as I did.

I think this is the first packaged Henna since Shaun left (BA Henna CPM was still his base beer if I'm not mistaken), and all they did is prove to me that they can't remake that beer. I won't be lining up for any future Henna releases

I have liked every Henna I've ever had and I had the day off so I went and got in line. Simple as that.

Got there at 11 and was on the road by 11:30. Wristbands and cash only made it an easy process. Glad I brought my Bafflins because the Great Western Trail was a flooded mess of water, snow, and ice
