    Beer is a genuine passion for me. Yet, there are days when I drink to face my demons. Today is one of those days. I had a panic attack on the freeway earlier this morning. Not really a great place to be during a stretch with no exits. I'm getting sick of the shit that my medical issues have put me through. F*ck it, at least I'm breathing. I'm thankful. Peace...

    Watched UCI Cyclocross all morning and a Serie A football match that randomly turned up on ESPN 2. It's beautiful outside so I guess I should go outside and tackle the bike maintenance backlog.

    Dave Olney was another notable songwriter who passed last week. Original and unique, he died onstage during a performance.

    [​IMG] Today’s Special is a pale ale from Grimm. -richly yellow and cloudy, this tap pour hosts a 1 cm foam cap and an aroma of citrus and pine. The flavor is full, with orange, orange zest, a bit of resin and a tangy, spicy note. The brew is light-bodied and quite tasty. -well done

    I'm having a 2019 BCBS. I've only had 2017 before this one. I had a bunch of the 2017 and still have a few left. I got two 2019s as a christmas present and this is the 1st of those. It doesn't really seem different from the 2017s, which is by no means a bad thing, as they were among the best beers I've ever had. The bourbon from the barrels is apparent. There's a lot of chocolate and some dried fruit. The most remarkable thing I've found still follows through in the 2019 version. The lingering finish lasts almost forever. And it reveals complex flavors as it slowly dissipates. GI has really produced an all time masterpiece.
