Evil Twin CT's "I Grew Up In Niva".




Except for some hop fading this is nearly perfect. As are all Evil Twin NYC/CT beers IMO. Just pure juice. A little bit of paper in the place of the fruit, so some fading, but otherwise very good. It's this beer's 2 month anniversary today. Somewhat expected. Would go back for more if it was fresh. Probably a case. Damn fine beer. 4.4 out of 5. Cheers

This beer is a shell of itself, to the point where I can’t remember what the original tastes like... but still decent among the oversaturated shelves.

This is a special beer for my 1,500 review that my boy Dingo gifted me. But man, what an extremely somber day for Lakers and NBA fans. This isn’t real. For those that live in LA/OC, Kobe was our hero. He was one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and had complete ice water running through his veins. For those that don’t know, he lived in Newport Beach - which is basically a little over an hour south of LA. So instead of fuck with traffic, he took a helicopter to LA for home games. Damn, what an unreal and shitty day.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/8" tan head over a near black body with some lacing. Nose of booze with dark fruit, dark chocolate, and bitter chocolate. Taste mirrors nose with a finish of booze, chocolate, and dark fruit sweetness that begs for another sip. Nice feel and overall, a great BBA Stout, especially after warming .
