I'm a big fan of Seapine as well. Love their space too.

Beautiful Beer Haus, and they bottle 3 beers and the rest you can get fresh Growlers. I’m less that 5 minutes from Red Oak and I can be at the Raleigh Durham Airport in 45 minutes.

Midnight Run Brewing in Frederick, Maryland. I love this brewery; small place with big beers.

Let me add something unique at least to me. Resident Culture in Charlotte serving multiple beers from their brite tanks, that’s ... fresh beer. They make numerous NEIPAs, my wife enjoyed their tart beers. Industrial feel kinda place, nice size, lousy parking, food trucks. If your in Charlotte worth a visit imo.

Careful...New Mexico has some great breweries but the vast majority of breweries range from crap to fair. IMO.

But the good ones do fly under the radar, agreed.

Mildly OT, but, a brewery in my town that I'm very familiar with serves their 6-8 core beers from serving tanks: they get pumped from the brite to the serving, then straight to the taps. The other 7-ish brews are served from kegs. I rather like this approach, but, it sucks up a lot of square footage in a small cold room. Not every brewery can do it.

    Other Half in NYC

I think their hazy IPA is among the best in the country, especially all their single hop double ipa offerings.

Sadly cans are mostly only available at the brewery.

There have been 177 mentions of that brewery on BeerAdvocate forums in the last two weeks alone. It's pushing 2 million ratings on Untappd with a 4.23 average. I'm going with "not hidden" on that one.

I'm glad they're finally getting the press they deserve and hope more people discover this hidden gem. The new taproom is huge and I was one of a hand few of people in it earlier. I can't wait for them to make it big.

I've been hearing a lot about Other Half for the last half decade or so, and I live half-way across the country and don't care for the styles in which it specializes. I've seen people proudly plop it down at local bottle shares to show how cool they are for obtaining Other Half beer, as early as 2016. The fact that it's the brewery most associated with hip styles in the biggest media market in the world doesn't hurt in getting the word out. I think you have a major misconception of the public perception of that brewery. It's a big name with a ton of hype.

Need to mention Henhouse (the other Santa Rosa brewery) for their hoppy beers.

Nashville buzz is all about Bearded Iris and Southern Grist and they do good work...but Smith and Lentz makes the best lagers in the city... I love that place....

Barnstable Brewing Hyannis. I have not had a beer there that I do not enjoy, they have a couple of milkshake IPA's that are great. The place is always packed and the owner is almost always there, he is a great guy to talk beer with. It has a vibe similar to an old school neighborhood bar. I go there whenever I am in town.

Definitely not hidden anymore. I see people on Facebook advertising to mule Other Half beers about once a week and they get plenty of orders.

People used to trash Red Oak snobbishly because they made German style beers. The original brewery was a mile from my house at Guilford College. My children loved the place and we would always go for lunch on snow days. Just really great memories. Having been around since 1991 truly makes them modern North Carolina beer pioneers. The beers are damned good....
