Wait, I have to pick it up in Lake Zurich??? God damnit!

 

At least one ambassador skipped the pre-sale assuming there’d be distro to a store closer to him and then complained when they announced the online sale/everything being out of LZ this time

 

Imagine having to convince your wife to join you to this trip to lake zurich...

 

My chakras were humming when this went on sale, so I couldn’t activate the internets. I’m sad I’ll miss out on a roadtrip to bucolic lake Zurich. I’m also dismayed at reports here about “ease” of purchase.

ok, it’s settled. I’ll spend the weekend setting up a mad max-Esque obstacle course from here to Wisconsin or wherever the hell LZ is.

 

I'll agree that it was a relatively easy process and they at least gave people a few minutes to find the page so they could hit refresh a bunch of times. I have some stuff going on next Saturday, so I picked Sunday.

And for those of you complaining about the lovely LZ area, maybe I'll see what @ShawnoftheD3ad is doing next weekend and we'll set up a Visitor's Bureau booth outside the brewery. Maybe give some helpful hints, recommend some nice places to eat...and show people how easy it would be to hide the bodies of complainers at the bottom of our namesake lake. Welcome!

 

Honestly, Roaring Table ain't half bad as a consolation brewery in the area...

 

Great idea. There are so many lakes...where to start?! Paulus? Forest Lake? Endless

 

As a native to the LZ area, I'm thinking I should start complaining every time I have to commute to the city for a beer release.

 

Good peoples, good variety. I stopped in there last night for their Sunburnt Mirth - Hazelnut release which was pretty tasty. On the sweeter side but overall a good beer.

 

agreed and I wouldn’t even call roaring table consolation - great people and the beer is right up there with anything else in the area. Just doesn’t have the hype. The recent sunburnt mirth releases, neipas, and sours have been excellent. Tap room is second to none as well
