bottle has this weird pull tab with Asian writing peeking through.

what the actual f**k? This pours green with thick green head.

it smells both hoppy and like a rice lager.
Taste is bitter. It’s thicker than a lager but with that slightly sharp bite. Then the hops hit and man- do they hit. It reminds me of when I popped a dry hop pellet in my mouth on a brew day. I tried pairing with some beef jerky and that helped some. My best guess is this is a Japanese lager with seaweed and hops? Thanks for the interesting beer, @y2kawakami!

 

Kyoto Matcha IPA. Green tea must lend the color! This was a fun one, @y2kawakami!

Inside, a fantastic collection of Speciation sours from '18 and '19. A new brewery tick, have wanted to check these guys out for some time now. This deep line-up will keep me busy for a while:

Initially it appears I safely escaped any penile box stuffers, but eventually ended up finding this little guy hiding under the lid:

Blind beer I received from @CanConPhilly

hazy, but doesn’t smell like an ipa. I first thought apple from the aroma, or maybe pear. After it sits a minute I get cloves pretty brightly.

light sweetness, smooth overall, not overpowering. Definitely a bit of clove or similar spice, but deftly added to remain light. I’m still feeling light fleshed fruit, but less and less after my initial impression . Some mineral and lightly herbal flavor. Minor background bitterness. Has some lager like flavor qualities, but nothing I can pin point.

 

Reveal of blind beer.

Not super sure how off I am. Definitely not apple, but grape is a white fleshed fruit!

Based on google, this grape does have a spicy flavor profile.

@locoformavs hooked me up with some WeldWerks. Thanks, Logan. I really love these guys, so was excited to have some new beers from them. Here is the Double Strawberry Milkshake. It’s got a strawberry Nesquik thing going on, but less sweet with some slightly tart fruit on the finish. Very fun!

 

Sorry for the late posting, but a HUGE Thanks goes out to @SouthernSips for not 1, but 2 boxes of dongless beers. As tempting as those 5 sex toys look, I must decline and leave that up to @Dragginballs76 as you suggest.

I must confess that most of these were consumed during the Superbowl and that Blind beer, as well as that Pumpkinator, was chugged on the Newbies Slack #chugs channel. All are new ticks for me and they have all been solid so far. Thanks again man!
