I was going to restart the NE IPA thread (someone else is welcome to if they think it's worth it), but it feels like so many of the big breweries already have their own thread that it might be better suited to another style that's getting pretty trendy: lagers.

I feel like more and more breweries (including those who cut their teeth on the hazy trend) are pumping these out, which makes me very happy; what are some newer lagers you guys have had that are worth picking up?

I'll give a shoutout to a couple I've had that I've liked: Mexico Calling (which has been around for a little while) by Cruz Blanca, and Maizal by Casa Humilde (both are Mexican lagers). Also, I can't get Metro's Stomhaus helles out of my mind; it's such a perfect, light, drinkable beer for every occasion that I'm trying to find something close that hits distro.

Von Munsthur by 3 Floyds is an amazing hoppy pils. Been really enjoying their lagers as of late.

Half-Acre has a kellerbier on right now that is pretty nice.

Dovetail's Vienna Lager is probably my favorite lager right now. I haven't tried their Helles Lager yet, but if it's even close to as good as the Vienna, I'm sure I'll love it.

I enjoy Von, but prefer Flying Tigersault. Which is a great deal at four 500ml for $12 right now!

Grabbed a 4 pack of Hop Butchers Folletto this weekend and thought it was awesome. First Pilsner I’ve had from HB and they nailed it. Highly recommend

I was very curious about that one, especially since I've had 0 Italian beers and no idea what "Italian style" means in context.

Try an FW Pivo Pils (if you haven’t). I believe (or at least I’ve heard in the past) that dry hopping is what differentiates an Italian pilsner. And Pivo is a prime American example.

+1 on Dovetail's Vienna. I'm enjoying the hell out of Pipeworks Rye Lager now too.

Tipopils is I believe what they intended to pay homage to / copy for Pivo. Birrifico Italiano was importing the beer (brewed in Italy) and then dry-hopping it here in the states for freshness. They did it a couple times and it was available then on draft and cans. I had a draft at Beer Temple and cans a different time - thought it was awesome both times (draft was a little better from what I remember)

I currently have Church Street Helles on tap at my house, very refreshing and only $70/sixtel. I love how they always have kegs available when you stop in. I would take Dovetail Helles by a smidge, but that is also pretty much tops for the style.

When was the last time 3 Floyds released Jinx Proof? Loved that beer, but haven't seen it in ages.

Looking back over my review notes - it looks like March or April of 2018? That is a good beer - hope they release it again.

Grabbed some of this last night after reading this comment earlier in the week. You'r right, absolutely delicious. One of my favorite PW lagers, which is saying a lot.

Another vote for Dovetail’s Vienna. But if you haven’t tried their Helles, IMO it’s even better.

Go revisit Pony Pils. I think that beer has taken a big jump since the last time I had it about a year ago. Pretty impressed

I really enjoyed Pollyanna Pils from a rec in last year's thread. I thought it was a nice hoppy take on the style that's not quite as intense as Rev Pils. Wish I had been able to try their anniversary kellerbier last time I was in town as well.

I was surprised to hear that Pollyanna has 3 locations.

Yep, they are doing really well. They have a top tier pilsner and top tier West Coast IPA.
