    Where do you guys stand on the pronunciation of the dipthongs in Linear B?

    The misspelling comes from the mispronunciation. Gaius Plinius Secundus is the Latin name for Pliny the Elder. The Latin pronunciation is Pliny (as in tin-ee) not Pliney (as in tiny). RR Brewery has chosen to mispronounce it.
