I still remember picking up a 4 pack of each Tater from Court Street Grocers and being home on my couch before the line even started moving. Can't believe I'm now thinking about lining up in the dead of night.

I'm probably on the younger side here but even at 30 I have no interest in standing in a line for hours in the cold to get some beer, especially when they're pumping out good stuff almost every week of the year these days.

Earliest I'm considering going is arriving for 8am. Perhaps low allotments may parlay into a single stout. But, I doubt. Noon-ish is sounding better and better.

Yeah there's bourbon county, parabola, evil twin ba stouts, KBS, CBS, Benthic, prairie's assorted offerings... All sitting on shelves... Just as good or better than pretty much anything. Heck evil twin nyc put out a banana stout that is being distributed as far as southern NJ. Why would you pay a mule or wait in freezing weather for those stouts which are the first thing that'll go I assume and the highest mulling demand? Eh whatever, hopefully they are respectful of the neighborhood and stay safe.

Thats what time I showed up last year! Spent most of the 2 hours before open drinking in the taproom, so it really wasnt that bad.

Honestly besides Bourbon Paradise out of that list I'd rather have OH Batter Water, really don't care for BCBS/KBS/CBS/Parabola. The Evil Twin Wild Thai Banana stout is pretty good, hoping I can grab a single somewhere in the city to compare.

Damn millenials ! Based on screen name of the person (one of the greatest bands of all time,)who hit you with their wisdom looks like he is from my generation, looks like young Callum cant deal with straight up great stout, you need to get your taste buds checked ! BCBS far superior to anything OH makes and can be had now for a small price and no line compared to diabetes infused OH.

LZ best band of all time

I will say though that from that specific list of stouts - some don’t do it for me (BCBS and Parabola). But I do agree with the general point that there are better stouts that are on the shelf/more easily accessible. Nothing is Forever (mentioned in the Threes thread) would be a prime local example

I mean I won't buy BCBS due to my distaste for ABInbev but I thought it was extremely underwhelming when I had it, extremely thin and a touch fusel. BCBBW on the other hand is excellent but they don't make it anymore.

it's just people who plan to line up at 2-3 am and drink/share beers all night to get
actual people or empty chair people?

According to a buddy of mine who lurks in the FB group, it is empty chairs, and their order has already been upset.
